While Game Fuel promotional flavors have returned a number of other times for games, such asWorld of Warcraftin 2009,Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3in 2011, and evenHalo 4in 2012, fans have been waiting years for anotherHaloedition. However, that is about to change.

In a post on Twitter, the officialHaloaccount announced the revival of Mountain Dew’s Halo Game Fuel. The post revealed this classic flavor will return on November 6 and shared a video hyping its comeback. The clip started with someone holding a can of the original Halo Game Fuel, complete with an image of the Master Chief and theHalo 3logo. After a few moments, the soft drink was shaken, and the video transitioned to a new version of the Mountain Dew limited-edition flavor. The new artwork displayed the Citrus Cherry description and had pictures of John-117 in hisHalo InfiniteMJOLNIR armorand the AI known as The Weapon. The logos forHalo Infiniteand Xbox were also visible at the top of the can.

Given the popularity of the first run of the limited-edition flavor forHalo 3, it is no surprise to see many members of the gaming community excited about the revival of Halo Game Fuel. Since the news, many nostalgic fans have voiced their approval, with the Twitter post gaining thousands of likes. The official announcement from theHaloaccount seemed to realize the significance to many longtime fans, as it said, “Feels like 2007 again.”

This news about the return of Halo Game Fuel comes as 343 Industries has more plans forHalo Infinite. In addition to the soft drink flavor, the game will reportedly feature in-game nods to Mountain Dew, including several cosmetics and a map themed around the brand. Furthermore, the developer appears to be adding a playlist ofHalo 3mapsfor nostalgic fans to check out.

It is worth pointing out that there is even moreHalonews beyond this Mountain Dew collaboration. Season 5 ofHalo Infinitelaunches on October 17, promising to bring a fresh battle pass, more modes, and new maps. In addition, a new report has suggested that343 Industries has begun working on a new campaignfor the series. Unfortunately, nothing regarding this new single-player experience has been officially confirmed by the developer. Regardless, there seems to be a lot to look forward to forHalofans.
