Godfallis a “Looter-Slasher” game developed by Counterplay Games and published by Gearbox Publishing. Players take on the role of a surviving member of the Exalted Knight’s Order named Orin, tasked with preventing their brother’s attempt at performing the “Rites of Ascension” and becoming a god. To do this players must travel across the various lands within the Skybreaker Monolith to face off against Macros and his allies.

Siphon

A situationally useful skill is Siphon, which allows players to make use of a health-draining special move by holding down the weapon technique and life stone buttons. This drain lasts for 4 seconds and creates a clone of a small enemy killed by it, which will fight by the player’s side for 10 seconds.

Getting Level 2 of this skill reduces the time taken to perform the drain by 25%, while Level 3 grants +25% shield charge and +10% archon fury charge when defeating an enemy with Siphon. Level 4 further reduces the time taken to perform the drain by another 25%, and Level 5 allows Siphon to drain three foes in front of the player at once.

Rampage

Rampage is a useful skill for most builds, providing players with a damage buff if they land multiple weapon attacks in a short time.Rampage lasts until the player has not hit an enemy for 10 seconds, but increases damage by 20%. Finally, Level 5 of this skill will improve damage dealt while under the effects of the buff by another 10%.

Sundering Slam

Another very useful skill is Sundering Slam, allowing players to perform a chargeable slam attack by pressing the interact and weapon skill buttons. The skill inflicts a debuff on enemies hit with it, increasing the damage they take for the next 30 seconds. The severity of the damage boost is based on how long the skill is charged for, with a fully charged sundering slam increasing damage taken by 20%.

At Level 2 the debuff can cause foes to take up to 30% extra damage on a full charge, while Level 3 adds a blind debuff to foes hit by the attack. Level 4 reduces the time taken to charge the attack by 25%, and Level 5 grants a 15% damage buff to the player and their allies if this attack is performed inside the player’s banner aura.

Weapon Techniques

Easily one of the best skills regardless of character build is the Weapon Techniques Skill. This allows the player to make use of Northern and Southern Techniques with their equipped weapon. These powerful techniques are incredibly useful in combat, and differ from one weapon type to another, making this skill a must for any build.

For example, the Dual Blades have the Northern Technique “Inner Focus,” which allows the player to boost their damage output for a short time. The damage boost is enhanced for each segment of the charge bar that is currently filled. Meanwhile, the Dual Blades Southern Technique is “Mortal Coil” allowing them to throw out one of their blades and pull the enemy it hits towards them, or pull the player towards the enemy if it’s a boss.

Grabbing additional ranks in this skill is also useful, allowing the player to charge their weapon techniques more quickly and causing the techniques themselves to deal more damage.

Weapon Timing

Joining the ranks of “Weapon Techniques” as a skill that is highly useful for any build is the Weapon Timing Skill. This skill allows players to perform “Weapon Timing” attacks by hitting theattack button at just the right moment during a combo. The game indicates the right moment to hit the attack button after an attack by displaying a gray circle pulsing out of the player character. Pressing the attack button when that gray circle appears will perform a weapon timing attack, dealing additional damage.

After getting Level 2 of this skill players can hit the heavy attack button when the gray circle appears to perform a heavy timing attack, which is slower but deals even more damage. Level 3 allows them to push the shield button to perform a shield uppercut timing attack while the gray circle is visible, which is enhanced further if the shield is primed.

Finally, Level 4 grants the last new timing attack, the parry timing attack. The Parry timing attack can be performed by hitting the shield button when the gray circle appears after parrying an enemy, to perform a powerful shield counterstrike attack.

Maxing out the skill (Level 5) improves the damage of all timing attacks by 10%.

Polarity Attacks

Yet another skill that will benefit any build is Polarity Attacks. This skill allows players to charge up a “Polarity Attack” by hitting enemies with weapon attacks, indicated by their weapons glowing when the attack is charged. Once charged, swapping weapons will generate a damaging shockwave and increase weapon damage by 20% for 30 seconds. This can be excellent for hitting groups of enemies while also putting the player in a more favorable position for further attacks.

Gaining extra levels in this skill will increase the damage and charge speed of polarity attacks, capping at an extra 15% damage and 10% charge speed.

Shield Throw

The Shield Throw skill is a fantastic means of improving the player’s combat versatility, giving them access to several powerful shield attacks. The first level of this skill grants the Arcing Shield Throw, a shield throw that hits all enemies between the player and the target. This acts as a fantastic way to deal with groups of enemies for a very low investment in the skill.

Grabbing Level 2 increases shield damage by 10%, and Level 3 provides another fantastic special attack in the form of an explosive wave. Pressing the shield button just as the shield returns to the player from a throw will produce an explosive wave attack that damages nearby foes. This further enhances the player’s ability to deal with groups of foes.

Godfall Valorant Knight With Polearm Against Two Enemies

Level 4 increases shield charge speed by 5%, and Level 5 grants access to the Spectral Blow. Spectral Blow allows players to hit the shield button just as their shield throw hits a foe to immediately dash to that target, serving as a fantastic mobility booster.

Shield Prime

Players looking to take a more defensiveapproach to combatshould definitely acquire the Shield Prime Skill. At Level 1 this skill allows blocks and parries to charge up the shield. When the shield is fully charged it becomes “primed” for 40 seconds, causing successful parries to reflect 25% of the incoming damage onto foes in front of the player. Level 2 ups the reflected damage to 50%, makes the shield charge 25% faster and increases the time the shield remains primed to 60 seconds.

Level 3 allows players to charge their shield throw attack by holding down the button. This causes the throw to do 100% extra damage if the shield is primed, and returns the shield to normal. Level 4 allows players to follow up a petrifying slam attack with a primed petrifying slam attack by hitting the shield button. Doing so returns the shield to normal.
