God of War Ragnarokfollows Kratos and Atreus on their journey to prevent Ragnarok. If they fail, there is a high chance everything they know will end, and though the stakes are quite high, there’s always time for them to seek out treasure.

If the player wishes, they can find all sorts of treasures while exploring throughGod of War Ragnarok. One such treasure,the Demise of Dagestr treasure, can be found by exploringthe Lake of Nine, but finding the map leading to the treasure’s location must be found in order for the search to begin. Sadly, the treasure map is waiting in a different realm, so players will need to do some backtracking before they can start the hunt.

Finding The Map

Finding the map to the Dagestr treasure requires Kratos tovisit Svartalfheimafter he has escaped the Applecore with Tyr during the main story. The map is hidden in an area that can only be accessed if Kratos hasthe Draupnir Spear, so players must ensure they have first completedChapter 10: Forging Destinybefore they attempt to find Dagestr’s treasure.

Kratos explores the Applecore in God of War Ragnarok

The fastest way to get back tothe Applecoreis to fast-travel back to the Mystic Gateway located at theApplecore Descent. If players don’t have access to this Mystic Gateway yet, they can also usethe raft Kratos escaped with Tyr into reach the elevator that descends inside.

From opposite the Mystic Gateway, Kratos can use the Draupnir Spear to create a new route. Then, he can follow the path ahead of him until he findsa wind spouton a pillar to his right. Upon lodging the Draupnir Spear inside the opening, he will then be able to climb up onto the previously inaccessible ledge. Upon reaching this new area, the map to the Dagestr treasure can be seen lying beside the wall on the right.

Finding The Demise of Dagestr Treasure

With the Dagestr treasure map acquired, Kratos can now return to the Lake of Nine in Midgard to uncover what the map leads to. Upon leaving the Mystic Gatewaynorth of Tyr’s Temple, he should proceed west until he encounters a rock with a gold crack on its surface. Bydestroying the rock with the Draupnir Spear, he can then proceed down the previously inaccessible path.

The Lake of Nine in God of War Ragnarok

Continuing down the freshly made path, Kratos will eventually run into aglowing objectembedded in the snowy ground. Interacting with it will cause him to griphis Leviathan Axeand use it to unearth the hidden object, which is then revealed to be Dagestr’s treasure.

Upon obtaining the treasure, Kratos will be rewarded withtwoAsgardian Ingots, two Luminous Alloy, two Petrified Bones, and forty Shattered Runes. He will also receive fifty points of XP and theHelheim’s Forceamulet, an item that allows the wearer to deal more melee damage while their HP is below 50%.
