Santa Monica Studio has released a newGod of War Ragnarokvideo that shows behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the game.God of War Ragnarokis one of the most highly anticipated games of this year, and it officially comes out in just a few weeks on November 9.
Fans should note thatGod of War Ragnarokhas gone goldahead of its scheduled release next month. This means that the game is ready for mass production and will probably not get delayed. However, games nowadays receive a day 1 patch around their launch, to further remove bugs and solve other leftover issues, and the same is likely true in the case ofGod of War Ragnarok. Now, Sony has shared a new behind-the-scenes video that gives players a deep dive into the making ofGod of War Ragnarok.

Santa Monica Studio has shared a new video forGod of War Ragnaroktitled Shaping the Story. It’s over 10 minutes long and mainly comprises of interviews with the development team aboutGod of War Ragnarok’s story. It first talks about the main plot of 2018’sGod of Warbefore setting upRagnarok. The video also includes some footage from the mocap studio, featuring actors that give their voices and performances to bring the characters to life.
Toward the end of the video, the developers talk aboutending the Norse saga ofGod of Warin two just games. It confirms that a lot happens in this final chapter and thatGod of War Ragnarokwill provide closure to a lot of the fans’ questions from the first game.
Santa Monica Studio also confirms that this video is just part 1 of an episodic series. Every Tuesday, for the next 9 weeks, PlayStation will share a new video that gives players a deep dive intoone aspect ofGod of War Ragnarok. This series will cover a variety of topics ranging from designing the game’s combat to creating its musical score.
The blog post mentions that these videos will be spoiler free untilGod of War Ragnaroklaunches on November 9. It perhaps hints at Santa Monica Studio sharing spoiler-filled videos at a later stage that go deep into everything that happened inGod of War Ragnarok. Next week’s video will take fans to the land of the Elves, Alfheim, as the development team shares a glimpse at theimproved combat inGod of War Ragnarokand the various enemies players will encounter throughout their journey.
God of War Ragnarokreleases on PS4 and PS5 on November 9.
