Traps and other primary gear level up according to the player’s game rank in contrast tounlockable Secondary Gadgets. Ghost traps have 4 upgradable main features: Inner Mechanism, Battery Pack, Base, and Foot Pedal. At first, players only have the default trap options, but as they increase rankings, they may wonder which to choose, as many of the unlockable trap upgrades have pros and cons with a complex plus and minus stat system. Inner Mechanism Builds
The Supercharger is undoubtedly the best Inner Mechanism for players wanting high Trap Pull Strength with 6 plusses, but it has high battery usage so don’t expect it to last long. In contrast, the Default Inner Mechanism is pretty evenly balanced but isn’t quite as handy as the Deferred Aperture, which has the bonus of Trap Field Angle and Trap Field Height totrap escaping ghostsfloating higher up.

For those intrigued by the Remote Receiver, its distinctive feature is there’s no foot pedal. Players must decide if its stats are worth it for completing the Remote Receiver Research Contract to get it, which is similar toSide Hustle secondary questsand is obtainable by throwing a trap for 500m and trapping ghosts within 3 seconds of deployment.
Battery Pack Builds
The Large Capacity and Lithium Ion Batteries are arguably the most balanced and best battery pack builds. Both have many equal or similar stats, such as in Activation Interaction Distance. In contrast, the Lipo Battery is great forcatching stronger ghostswith its giant Trap Pull Strength but has significant battery drain, whereas the main disadvantages of the Default Battery are its power usage and recharge.
Although the Large Capacity Battery is heavier to throw, it has a slightly stronger Trap Pull Strength and Activation Interaction Distance, whereas the Lithium Ion Battery uses more battery power but has a better recharge rate. However, to unlock the latter, players must reach trap level 22 to do the Lithium Ion Battery Research Contract making the Large Capacity the more accessible choice.
Base Builds
All Base builds have the same Trap Pull Strength, and some feature the most fun designs in the game, such as an unlockable R.T.V kit that turns the trap into an amusing miniRC car unit. Players must reach trap level 24 to take on the R.T.V Kit Research Contract, wherein players must get the final ghost capture 5 times and resupply the trap 10 times at the Gear Cart.

However, a secondary great base option is the Skip Stop which helps the trap settle faster when thrown, and Trap Instant Activation for faster catching. Its Trap Activation Distance is great points-wise, and it’s slightly quicker recharging compared to the R.T.V, making the Skid Stop one of the best bases whendeploying ghost traps.
Foot Pedal Builds
All foot pedal builds have a decent trap pull strength which is crucial for trapping the ghost. However, the Seismic Proximity Pedal is best forthrowing the trapfurther from a distance, whereas the Overlock Module is best for Trap Pull Strength and range with 2 field angle pluses. It’s easier to catch ghosts close up rather than from a distance, but the Seismic Proximity Pedal is handy for capturing ghosts trying to escape.
The Default and Extended Pedal have more basic stats, except the Extended Pedal is throwable at a faster speed with its added Throw Velocity. However, neither compares to the strength and perks of completing the Overlock Module, unlockable by completing the Overlook Module Research Contract once players reach trap level 25.
