Genshin Impactis gearing up for update 2.1, which will bring new characters, new locations, and a new archon to the game. Players will finally get to meet the Raiden Shougun, and she will be an attainable character through wishes. In preparation forBaal’s banner, players will want to farm for some of her ascension materials ahead of time.
Baal’s Ascension Materials
As the archon of Electro, players will probably have guessed that Baal will need as many Vajrada Amethysts in as many forms as possible. And they would be correct; players will need a good chunk of these purple stones. Thankfully, they can be attained in the game by fighting not only the Electro Hypostasis, but also theTrounce Domain bosses like Childeand Stormterror. Based on some rumors and the needed materials for other characters, players will most likely need the following amounts of each quality of Vajrada Amethysts:

It also looks as though Baal will require loads ofInazuma’s handguard materials as well, which includes Old Handguards, Kageuchi Handguard, and Famed Handguards. These will be needed for not only ascending Baal, but also for ascending her talents. While this has not been confirmed by miHoYo, it seems likely that the handguards will play some part in her ascension.
Baal’s Talent Materials
It looks as though Baal will need Light scrolls of all the different levels as well as additional handguards for her talents. These scrolls are available to farm in one of the talent ascensionDomains inGenshin Impactcalled the Violet Court on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. These are the amounts that she will need:
Players will also need Crowns of Insight, which are the rarest items currently in the game. They can be obtained through limited-time events, upgrading the Frostbearing Tree’s Gratitude to Level 11, and three can be gotten from upgrading the Sacred Sakura’s Favor to Levels 5, 15, and 25.
Other Items to Farm For Baal’s Banner
There are going to be additional items required to get Baal leveled up, but some of those are not yet inGenshin Impact. Therefore, it’s best to focus on what players can currently get. They will need to also farm tons of Mora and leveling books like Hero’s Wits. to get Baal to level 90 or even close to that, players will need several million Mora and loads of leveling materials.
