Genshin Impactupdates usually have two different banner cycles and each of them features a new set of limited characters and weapons. The second part of the ongoing Version 2.8 will introduce the first re-run for the long-awaited Pyro bow user Yoimiya.

Developer HoYoverse has already confirmed that the upcoming major update toGenshin Impactwill introduce a brand-new nation called Sumeru. While mostGenshin Impactupdates have a similar banner layout, it seems like the first Sumeru update could see some bigger adjustments.

A recent update by one of the most credibleGenshin Impactleakers named Lumie has revealed that the upcomingGenshin ImpactVersion 3.0will apparently have three banner cycles. The game has already confirmed the arrival of three new characters: Tighnari, Collei, and Dori. According to Limie, Tighnari and Collei will appear on the first banner, and Dori is scheduled for the second part of the update. This would not be the first time for HoYoverse to introduce three separate banner cycles in one update.Genshin ImpactVersion 1.3 had three two-week banners that featured three different characters.

The fact that Tighnari is the only new five-star character to appear on the banner means that all the other banners will feature character re-runs. RecentGenshin Impactleaks have been hinting that these re-runs will most likely include two famous characters, Zhongli and Ganyu. Multiple replies in the comment section claim that one of the reasons behind HoYoverse’s decision to add another banner is the fact that recent rumors revealed thatTighnari will apparently join the Standard Bannerafter 3.0 ends.

According to recent 3.0 beta leaks, Tighnari will be a new Dendro DPS character withstrong sub-DPS capabilities. He will have a unique Charged Attack mechanic similar to the Cryo bow user Ganyu. His name is apparently based on a popular Arab scientist named Al-Tighnari which makes sense considering that the new Sumeru region takes inspiration from Southwest Asia and the Middle East.

The two other characters, Dori and Collei, will apparently have a four-star rarity which is confirmed by their absence fromthe recent Sumeru trailer video. Collei has been a part of theGenshin Impactworld for a very long time due to her appearance in the game’s official manga. Even though she has a lower rarity, fans expect Collei to be the strongest Dendro character in 3.0 since she has the ability to constantly apply the Dendro element.

Genshin Impactis available for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Nintendo Switch version also in development.
