The upcomingGenshin Impactupdate 2.3 will bring two brand new Geo characters, at least according to the most recent event live stream. The update will include an interesting banner re-run and the two Geo Vision holders, Arataki Itto and Gorou.
Even though Version 2.3 has not even arrived yet, multiple leaks have already revealed much information aboutGenshin Impactversion 2.4 which should arrive around June 06, 2025. miHoYo’s official social media accounts have officially revealed the two new characters that will join the playable roster, Shenhe and Yun Jin.

Genshin Impact2.4 beta phase has started and there are already numerous leaks about future content including abrand new region fans are refering to as Enkanomiya. Over the past couple of patches, miHoYo has introduced an interesting pattern by revealing new characters before the beta even arrives, most likely because the characters would be leaked on day one of the betas anyway. A recent leak on Reddit has apparently revealed large parts of Shenhe’s kit:
Shortly aftermiHoYo officially revealed Shenheand Yun Jinand, one of the most popularGenshin Impactleakers named Lumie has revealed a new dungeon will be coming to the game alongside the character, something which is not uncommon with newGenshin Impactcharacters. When it comes to Shenhe’s rarity, there is no official information but multiple rumors hint that she will be a limited five-star banner character.
Previous leaks about her element have been confirmed by the official art and she will be a new Cryo character. Her weapon of choice will be the Polearm and according to multiple leaks, she’s expected to be one of thestrongest DPS characters inGenshin Impact. The newly discovered leaks hint that she could also have strong supporting capabilities.
There is no official information if Shenhe and Yun Jin will be featured on the same banner cycle. Previous leaks have been hinting thatGanyu and Xiao might get a banner re-runmeaning that update 2.4 could have a similar pattern as its predecessor containing two new characters for one cycle and a strong double banner re-run for the other.
