Summary
AStarfieldplayer has recreated a trio of generation 3 Legendary Pokemon as custom ships in the game. In order for players to reach the 1000+ planets found inStarfield, they need to either buy or make a ship to cruise the galaxy. Creative players have found ways to customize their ships to look like things from their favorite franchises, such asPokemon.
Starfieldis a game that allows players to tailor their experience however they please, and that includes the ships they traverse the universe in. Players cancustomize the interiors of their ships inStarfieldto add decorative items, or entire rooms for crew members to enjoy. But the real fun is customizing the outside of the ship to form an eye-catching design to amaze other fans. Since the game’s release in September, players have made ships that look like mechs, tanks, battleships, and animals like squids and birds. Some fans have even recreated other famous ships from pop culture, like the Pelican fromHalo, the Milano fromGuardians of the Galaxy, and the Millennium Falcon fromStar Wars.
It was only a matter of time before the world ofPokemonwas brought intoStarfield, with ships resembling Blastoise and other popular Pokemon showing up in the game. Reddit user banzailang took the concept of recreating Pokemon to the next level by creating ships that look like legendaries from the Hoenn region: Kyogre, Rayquaza, and Groudon. Banzailang’s newest design is the green ship, made to look like Rayquaza, the popular Dragon/Flying-type legendary that plays a pivotal role inPokemonlore. The custom ship manages to capture Rayquaza’s snake-like appearance well.
Kyogre was the firstlegendary Pokemon banzailang created inStarfield, representing the water type as a giant whale with wings. Kyogre embodies the immense power and beauty of the seas, and its custom ship design shows this off. The last legendary Pokemon ship design is Groudon, the Ground/Fire type with the ability to shape the earth itself. Groudon is highly sought after in thePokemoncommunity, and its custom ship design is the perfect dinosaur-like recreation.
When it comes to custom ships that resemble Pokemon, they are not all legendaries or fully evolved. Some fans have built ships that look like starter Pokemon, likeBulbasaur inStarfield, which is less intimidating but more adorable. With over 1,000 Pokemon to choose from, fans can likely expect more pocket monster designs in the future.
Starfieldis available now on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
