And while there’s typically a leak revealing the freePlayStation Plusgames ahead of schedule, that didn’t happen for the February 2022 lineup. Sony has now pulled the curtain back on the free PS Plus games that fans can add to their digital libraries starting next Tuesday, February 1.
The free PlayStation Plus games for February 2022 consist of two PS4 titles and one PS5 game. The PS5 offering for February 2022 isPlanet Coaster: Console Edition, which is a theme park simulator game that was a launch title for the PS5. The PS4 games on offer areEA Sports UFC 4, which is being positioned as the headlining game for the February 2022 lineup, andTiny Tina’s Assault on Dragonkeep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure.
EA Sports UFC 4is the latest entry in EA’sUFCfranchise, originally released in August 2020.EA Sports UFC 4reviews were generally positive, though there’s typically been some backlash whenever Sony has included a sports game as one of the free PS Plus titles. It remains to be seen if fans will have a similar reaction toEA Sports UFC 4being one of the free PS Plus games for February 2022, but we’ll find out soon enough.
Free PS Plus Games for February 2022 List
Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure, meanwhile, is a standalone version of theBorderlands 2DLCTiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. The expansion serves as the inspiration for theupcomingTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsgamethat’s set to drop in March, and so that is likely the logic behind making it available as one of the free PlayStation Plus games for February 2022.
TheBorderlandsfranchise is fairly popular, though fans may still be upset aboutTiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventurebeing one of the free PS Plus games for February 2022. The game retails for a mere $9.99 and can be completed in about five hours or so. Not to mention it’s been available asBorderlands 2DLC for nearly a decade at this point, so it really doesn’t add a ton of value to the free PS Plus games lineup.
All three games will be available from February 1 until February 28. In the meantime, fans still have a few days to download thefree PS Plus games for January 2022.
