Fortnite’s Marvel crossover that has encapsulated Season 4 is still going strong as Epic Games slowly releases the remaining Marvel skins. Though, it’s likely these won’t be the last of the Marvel-themed skins, as Epic Games’ Creative Director Donald Mustard confirmedFortnite’s Marvel crossover will continuebeyond this season.
However, with Season 4 slowly but surely nearing its endgame there are only a select few of the teased Marvel skins waiting to be released. Now,Fortnite’s official Twitter account has released a teaser image for one of those remaining Marvel skins: the anti-hero Symbiote, Venom.

Though the image is clearly meant to tease what character is coming to the game, it’s pretty hard to interpret the skin as anyone other than Venom. Venom’s distinctive, hulking appearance sets it apart from any other Marvel character skin that’s been released so far. Aside from character skins like Groot and perhaps even therecentFortniteGhost Rider skin, Venom definitely stands out among the other Marvel characters. Additionally, it appears that Venom will have some animations that reference its shapeshifting abilities, like turning its limbs into weapons and spikes.
Alongside the teaser image also came the announcement that Venom is the next Marvel Knockout Super Series character. Just like howBlack Widow was added toFortniteas an unlockable skin through the Knockout Super Series tournaments, players have a chance of unlocking Venom’s skin the same way. For those who haven’t participatedFortnite’s Knockout Super Series in Season 4, the mode basically acts as a tournament where a squad of three players battle other teams for the chance to earn in-game rewards. Teams who place high enough in this upcoming Knockout Super Series tournament have the chance to unlock the Venom skin early.
Of course, it’s important to mention that Venom won’t be locked exclusively behind the Knockout Super Series tournament. Eventually, the Venom skin will be released into theFortniteshop for players to purchase normally just like the rest of the Marvel skins.Fortnite’s Knockout Super Series tournamentsare just a fun way of having players compete to earn in-game prizes while also experimenting and playing around with the Marvel content that has been introduced over the course of Season 4. These Marvel-themed Knockout tournaments have players using the various Marvel powers introduced for characters like Wolverine and Storm.
As of the time of writing, no official date and time has been set for Venom’s Knockout Super Series Cup. However, it shouldn’t be long before Epic gives some official confirmation on when players can opt in to join the tournament for themselves. Those who haven’t gotten theirFortniteandMarvel’s Avengersfill should definitely keep an eye out for when the official start date is announced. Though only Venom’s silhouette has been revealed so far, the Symbiote looks to be a very unique character inFortnite’s growing Marvel roster.
