Week 5 ofFortniteSeason 6 has arrived, and with it comes a brand new set of challenges for players to conquer. Despite the game’s current theming, this week’s challenges have a focus on its vehicles.
Epic Games' enduringly popular free-to-play battle royale is now into its second month of Season 6. The new season, dubbed “Primal,” has seen a number of changes to the game’s meta, including the addition of fauna (including the dangerous Raptors,) Guardian boss fights, a weapon crafting system, and other changes that remain somewhat divisive amongst players.

How to Maintain a Speed of 65 or Greater for 4 Seconds in aFortniteVehicle
One of theFortnitechallenges laid out for this week involves players being able to maintain a speed of 65 or greater for at least 4 consecutive seconds in a vehicle. While some players may have speedboats come to mind, given their boosting capability, the aquatic vehicle can only surpass 65 for about two to three seconds. Thankfully, one YouTuber has come up with a surefire alternate solution. For players looking for a practically guaranteed method to completing the challenge, they’ll want to drop into a large house on the western edge of the map, located just southeast of Sweaty Sands. A specialRocket Leagueversion ofFortnite’s Whiplash sports car can be found, which is not only the fastest land vehicle, but has a boost feature as well.
From there, all players need to do is drive the car for at least four seconds while going 65 or greater. This can easily be done by simply driving on a paved surface or road. Given the winding paths a majority ofFortnite’s roads take, adding a vehicle mod such as thenew Chonkers off-road tiresmay make the task even easier. The newly introduced vehicle attachment gives players drastically improved driving performance on basically any surface, including mountains.
The off-road tires may also aid in doing another one of Week 5’s challenges, getting 2 seconds of airtime in a vehicle. While players can certainly complete this by driving off a cliff, an off-road tire-equipped vehicle should get enough momentum in most instances off of any ramp to do the same. Theoretically, grabbing the Whiplash previously mentioned could allow players to complete both challenges in one shot, boosting on a straightaway for the four seconds and then going off of a ramp or cliff.
The latest batch ofFortnitechallenges should keep players busy for at least a few days. However, the more avid portion of the battle royale’s player base may have already completed everything, left with minimal other things to do. While waiting for more challenges to unlock, or those who just enjoy seeing celebrities play the game, MCU actressesBrie Larson and Tessa Thompson teamed up to playFortnite, with the former giving the latter a crash course on how to play.
Fortniteis free-to-play for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
