The originalFortnitemap was beloved by all and went way past simple nostalgia.Fortnitehas enjoyed a successful span of over 7 years as the king of the Battle Royale genre, and as the gamecontinues to evolve, so does its map. Yet, sometimes it’s nice to pause and rewind to go back to the nostalgia that made the game so successful in the first place with Chapter One’s POIs and locations.
WithFortniteOG andFortniteReloaded, it’s always possible that some of the best locations inFortniteChapter One can make a comeback. After all, it’sbeen over 5 yearssince players lost the Chapter One map, so why not bring back some of the best locations so that veterans and new players can battle it out in a place that feels like home?

6Anarchy Acres
A Large Farm That Knows No Peace
Anarchy Acres are for the true OGs out there. This section of the map was original, and existed in the earliest iterations of Season 1, all the way through to the end of Season 4, before it was replaced by Lazy Links in Season 5. Despite its death, Anarchy Acres would live on in the hearts of many. It was a somewhat quiet spot to land at, and very situational, as players would alwaysfight over the hotspotsof this POI.
Whether it was contesting the large barn, the white farmhouse, or hiding behind a silo, there was plenty of loot for everyone in Anarchy Acres. Whilst it might not be as popular as its twin location Frenzy Fields, it’s certainly one to remember for its simplicity.

5Wailing Woods
An Elusive Forest With Plenty Of Cover
Wailing Woods also had great staying power, as it featured throughout Chapter One’s first season, all the way through to Season 8. Not only is this a classic spot to be adored for the greenery, but it’s also a brilliant place to visit for intense situations, as players could hide in the trees and get lost in the maze bushes that would see them lose opponents or get caught by a hiding playerwith a shotgun.
Wailing Woods was a very intense location for the final storm circle, as players would use the highly durable trees as cover and attempt to snipe each other from around the bark. Plenty of games could be won at Wailing Woods, especially to players who used the trees as cover toget away from the carnage.

4Greasy Grove
A Suburban Area With Rooftop Battles Galore
A list ofFortnitePOIswouldn’t be complete without one of the leading food chains in the universe. Greasy Grove has been home to the Durrr Burger chain and the Tacos restaurant, but real OG players would remember when Durrr Burger reigned supreme. At Greasy Grove, players would always land here in the hopes of scoring some sweet loot found in the plethora of houses and the restaurant itself.
The battles always ended the same, with players fighting from a distance across rooftops that they had claimed as their home. There was a lot to enjoy about Greasy Grove, and thepotential for loot and killswas always sweet enough to warrant dropping here.

3Moisty Mire
Dire Swamplands With Plenty Of Hiding Spots
Moisty Mire was not the most attractive spot to end up in withinFortnite’s first chapter, but it certainly was great for dealing with some situations. In Moisty Mire, players could use the swampto their advantage, and even use the right emotes to hide under a body of water, remaining unseen until a poor enemy crosses their path.
Moisty Mire also had a few revisions over the seasons it featured in, providing players with a great place to loot up away from the action. With the high ground of trees and ridges, Moisty Mire can easily become a great spot for those in Zero Build who just want to keep safe from the ongoing Battle Royale war.

2Viking Village
An Intense And Isolated Location On A Risky Mountain
The Viking Village might have been an infamous spot to land, but there was always a good reason to go there. As Chapter One evolved, Viking Village would see a few revisions to its design, which made it worth a visit. Most notably, was the large Viking boat in the center, that would teeter on a waterfall. If players broke the bottom, they’d certainly fall to their doom, but the loot was always worth it.
The village was small and isolated from other areas, making it a hard climb, and a hard descent, especially if players received the ice boots effect that would have them slide around the area. Players could feel somewhat safe up here as they waited for their victims below to make the climb, but they had to battle it out with the few other stragglers that landed in this quiet spot first.

1The Volcano
Fight Through Lava To Be King Of The High Ground
It’s over if the final zone exists on The Volcano, and a player has already claimed the high ground. The volcano was a steep location, where players had to climb up to gain a height advantage over their enemies. Laying claim to the top was how to win, as players from above could aim their weapons and shoot at defenseless players, who had no cover as they attempted to scale the Volcano.
For those inside the volcano or even the players on the other side, they might find themselves battling it out on a river of lava that will eat at their health and kill them. Many tense battles were had at the volcano, so to see it return would be grandiose indeed.
