TheFalloutseries went down in gaming history for its mix of social commentary, dark comedy, and creative post-apocalyptic worldbuilding. However, the franchise is also well known for the number of glitches and bizarre happenings. OneFallout 4player recently encountered a hilarious bug that claimed they had over 4 billion stimpaks in their inventory.

Stimpaks, short for stimulation delivery packages, are a consumable that players encounter inFallout 4and otherFallouttitles. They feature a syringe filled with medication and a gauge meant to measure the condition of their contents, giving them a retro-futuristic aesthetic. When used, they provide a rapid healing effect to players, which makes them quite useful in the dangerous world ofFallout.

Redditor Ok_Perspective_4348 recently shared a screenshot of the status screen from theirFallout 4playthrough. The display indicates that their character’s name is Jonty, they are level 21, and their inventory contains 21 RadAways and 4294967295 stimpaks. This isn’t the first time a weirdglitch has affectedFallout 4players, but it may be one of the most outlandish.

It’s unclear whether or not Ok_Perspective_4348 can use the stimpaks they are listed as having, but if so, the sheer quantity of healing items may be enough to functionally break the game. LikeSkyrim,Fallout 4is an open-worldgame that prides itself by offering players the ability to go anywhere–though specific areas may still feature high-level enemies to make traversing them before a player is ready a risky proposition. Fortunately,Fallout 4’s focus on narrative, branching decisions, and exploration will likely give Ok_Perspective_4348 plenty of options even if they are flooded with more healing items than they know what to do with.

As of writing, it appears that other fans find the bug hilarious. One user suggested that Ok_Perspective_4348 leave a trail of dropped stimpakswhen they leave Goodneighborto ensure they can find their way back again. Several other users replied to this suggestion by claiming that the game would crash after even one stimpak was dropped, with one user reporting that just using a stimpak caused their game to crash once. Another user commented with a possible explanation for the glitch: apparently, the presence of the value 4,294,967,295 may reflect an error, overflow condition, or missing value in the game, which could suggest an issue with the inventory being integrated into the armor.

Fallout 4is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
