No one can accuseElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtreeof lacking content. Like the base game, the expansion is filled to the brim. Almost every aspect of the game has received additions, from the bossesto the weapons, and more. Spirit Ashes is another area with new content, although they aren’t easy to acquire. Some of them require quite a bit of effort from the player. Demi-Human Swordsman Yosh Ashes isone such Spirit Ash. It’s a well-hidden Ash acquired by defeating a challenging boss, but don’t worry — the reward is worth the effort.
Demi-Human Swordsman Yosh Ashes Location
Demi-Human Swordsman YoshAshes is a tricky Spirit Ash to find. It is acquired by defeating the great enemy boss, Demi-Human Swordmaster Onze. He is a formidable adversary skilled with a sword and located at the bottom of the Belurat Gaol.
To reach him, you will first need to get inside the Belurat Gaol. This can be done easily with thehelp of your Torrent. Fast travel tothe Greatbridge, North Site of Grace, situated above the Three Path Cross Site of Grace. Use the image above to get your bearings.
Once there, ride your Torrent and head westward, through the middle of the lake and into the small cave. A dragon will be sleeping nearby; avoid waking it and go around it. Get off the horse, enter the cave, and eventually, you will find the Belurat Gaol Site of Grace. Don’t forget to interact with it, as your next journey will be treacherous.
Acquiring the Demi-Human Swordsman Yosh Ashes
Once you are in the Belurat Gaol, your next task is to find the boss you need to defeat to get the Spirit Ash.
Head further down the cave and turn left down the stairs, avoiding the hidden enemy who will attack you from the left. Continue descending and jump down to the open area below. Cross the bridge in front of you and go through the door. When you enter a room with a few pots, take a few steps forward and look to your right. You should see an opening that you can use to jump down. Now, keep following the path straight ahead until you reach an area with massive hanging pots. Go to the other side and jump down onto the nearest hanging pot. Continue heading down, avoiding the chains as they can throw you out of the pots. Be careful, as the last pot is an enemy.
Once you are all the way down, head west, avoiding the enemies, and cross the bridge. At the end, the floor will crumble, throwing you further down. You should now be in a room with several massive pots. Follow the linear path until you reach an open area, jump across the small gap, and then jump onto the hanging pot to your southeast. From there, jump down to the pillars and then to the floor. A few steps forward, you should see a yellow mist indicating an enemy is nearby. Go through the mist to encounter the Demi-Human Swordmaster Onze boss. After defeating him, make sure to loot the newly dropped Demi-Human Swordsman Yosh Ashes.
