OneElden Ringplayer attempts to create Jade from the Mortal Kombat franchise and the end result is not what anyone expected or likely wanted to see. As it approaches its second anniversary in a few months,Elden Ringcontinues to be incredibly popular with playersthanks to its massive open world that allows players to really explore and play it the way they want. Players can use the various weapons and equipment to create specialized loadouts that focus on a certain play style or potentially adding more challenge to the overallElden Ringexperience.
However, for many fans, the character creation process continues to be one of the standout features as the amount of options available lets players really get creative with their look. Since the game’s launch early in 2022, players have shared all sorts of creative takes on popular characters from TV, Movies, Games, and more using the creation tools. While oneElden Ringplayer recently created Boomhauer fromKing of the Hillthat came out well, another attempted to bring Mortal Kombat’s Jade into this world with less than ideal results.
Over on theElden RingsubReddit, a user named ravelwolf957 shared an attempt to use the character builder to create Jade based on her appearance inMortal Kombat 11. The side by side comparison shot showed that things ultimately didn’t quite turn out the way the player had hoped as the two characters didn’t quite match up.
The comparison shots were quickly used for comedic fodder for the community, with many usingquips from theMortal Kombatseries like Dan Forden’s iconic line “TOASY!“or recalling one of the minigames called “TEST YOUR SIGHT” to poke fun at the end result. Some users attempted to provide feedback by offering some suggestions of extending the face, making the eyes slightly smaller and angled less sharply, and making the nose a bit longer as a starting point.
Unfortunately for fans of NetherRealm’s fighting series, using various character creators will have to do for now asJade isn’t a playable character inside ofMortal Kombat 1. Last seen inside ofMortal Kombat 11, Jade joins an extensive list of character who didn’t actually make the cut for the latest mainline game, even though her fan base continues to push to get her added to the roster. However, NetherRealm does have a tendency to release multiple DLC packs, so it’s possible that the popular green female ninja could be included in a second pack once the first has finished.
