The world ofElden Ringis vast and incomprehensible. Beginners can get a taste of the game’s massive map size by opening the trapped chest in the Tower of Return, located in the Weeping Peninsula. This will teleport them to the Divine Bridge in Leyndell, the Royal Capital. Venturing beyond the Leyndell of the Atlus Plateau, players will encounter the frigid Consecrated Snowfields and snow-laden Mountaintops of the Giants, leading to the Crumbling Farum Azula - the resting ground of ancient dragons. All of these are the major regions ofElden Ringand are home to most final bosses, making it impossible to miss them in a playthrough.
Nevertheless, a handful of areas may elude players, particularly the subterranean realms like the Eternal Cities of Nokron and Nokstella, Mohgwyn Palace, and Deeproot Depths. While gaining entry to Nokstella requries progressing halfway throughRanni the Witch’s questline, unlocking Nokron proves to be straightforward and uncomplicated. Here’s a guide on how players can unlock Nokron, the Eternal City inElden Ring.

How to Unlock Nokron, Eternal City
To unlock Nokron, players must defeatStarscourge Radahn, one of the most iconic bosses in Elden Ring. Starscourge Radahn isn’t your average boss. Radahn can only be fought during Radahn’s Festival hosted atRedmane Castlein southern Caelid.
One of the easiest ways to trigger Radahn’s Festival is by resting at a site of grace in Altus Plateau. Players can collectboth halves of Dectus Medallionsfrom Fort Haight in East Limgrave and Fort Faroth in Dragonbarrow. Then, use the Dectus medallion at theGrand Lift of Dectuslocated down the path going northeast from East Raya Lucaria Gate. The Altus Plateau site of grace is located just a little northeast of the lift. Rest at the grace site to begin Radahn’s Festival at Redmane Castle.

Now, players will have to head to Redmane Castle located on an island south of Caelid. Next to the Impassable Bridge (the bridge to the castle) will be a teleporter leading straight to Chamber Outside the Plaza grace site. From here, go north to enter the plaza to find many NPCs in preparation for Radahn’s Festival. Go up the stairs and talk to Jerren tofight Starscourge Radahn. After the cutscene, go north and take the lift to go down and use the waypoint teleporter to enter Radahn’s boss arena.
Defeating Radahn isn’t easy for first-timers because of his fast attack combos and giant size. Those who don’t want to spend hours learning his attack patterns can summon powerful NPCs like Blaidd,Great Horned Tragoth, and Lionel the Lionhearted to help in the fight. His fight against Malenia has left him weakened to Scarlet Rot. Players can use weapons with Scarlet Rot build-up and theRotten Breath spellto inflict Rot on Radahn and defeat him easily.

Radahn has been holding back theinfluence of stars and alienson his back even after the aftermath of his fight with Malenia. After defeating Radahn, players will get to watch a beautiful star shower followed by a blinding flash from a meteorite, which falls down in the direction of Limgrave. Players can find the impact of this meteorite at East Limgrave, just a little north of Fort Haight. The crater is impossible to miss, as giant pieces of rocks levitate in the sky.
Teleport to the Fort Haight West site of grace, and start heading north in the direction of the levitating rocks. Soon, you will find yourself at the entrance of a giant pit. Take the path in the north spiraling down and use Torrent’s double-jump skill to reach the platform. Look carefully to spotlight coming from a small entrance in the south. Once again, use your trusty steed to make it over to the tunnel.

Enter the small tunnel to find yourself in a room. Leave through the window on the east, and you will find the message pop-up saying “Nokron, Eternal City.” Keep going ahead and safely run past silver husks to make it to the Nokron, Eternal City site of grace.
