Favored Branches is an easy to acquire archistaff available in the very early parts of the game, essentially as soon as the player as access to Harve Village. Harve Village is encountered during the main story quest, and Favored Branches can be found in the Depleted Ore Mine to its north.
Being a free archistaff, this is a great find for the cash-strapped Sorcerer. Harve Village is also where a couple ofside queststake place, and it has a port crystal, so it’s a great place to check out anyway.

Craos Tine is a great choice of archistaff during the early to mid-game thanks to its easy availability and good stats. Players can purchase it directly after gaining access to the Elvish settlement of Sacred Arbor, or failing that, can attempt to find it as a drop from the powerful Wight enemy type encountered at night.
Craos Tine is relatively easy to acquire and offers the Fire element, too, so it can be a great choice to consider.

Caged Furyis a fantastic archistaff with great stats, but it doesn’t drop from any enemies, and it’s only available in the endgame for a quite high price of 68000G. This means many players won’t ever encounter it, but it’s powerful and can be purchased for a very reasonable price considering when it becomes available.
Still, it’s a great choice for that point in the game and offers the second-highest Magick stats of any base archistaff, and without having to shell out any Wyrmslife Crystals.

This is an endgame weapon purchasable only with Wyrmslife Crystals from the Dragonforged at a very steep cost. By this point in the game Wyrmslife Crystals aren’t as hard to acquire as they were previously, but it’s still a big ask.
