After the originalDonkey Kong Countrywas added to Switch Onlinea couple of months ago, Nintendo has revealed that the sequel is on the way as well. The tweet comes with a new gameplay video showcasing footage from each of the new entries into Nintendo Switch Online, withDKC2being the highlight.Mario’s Super PicrossandThe Peace Keeperson the SNES round out the list, along with the aforementionedS.C.A.T.:Special Cybernetic Attack Teamon the NES. All four games will be made available on September 23.

Mario’s Super Picrossis probably the next most well-known game from the list. This isn’t the firstPicrossgame to come to the Switch, but it was the entry into the puzzle genre that helped catapult that style of game into popularity.

S.C.A.T. is an interesting game, as it was also known asFinal Missionin Japan andAction in New Yorkin Europe and Australia. The single-player and multiplayer shoot ‘em up eventually made its way toWii Virtual Console.

The Peace Keepers, known asRushing Beat Syurain Japan could be considered a bit of ahidden SNES gem. It hasn’t been available outside of unofficial roms since the initial release in 1994 (NA). Many of the Nintendo Switch Online games were re-released at some point, so it is always nice to be able to play something likeThe Peace Keepersfor the first time in decades.

While trying out some of the lesser-known games will certainly be interesting, many Nintendo fans will want to run to their Switch to playDKC2. Some consider theDonkey Kong Countryfranchise to be Nintendo’s most underrated, whether it be the newer Retro Studios createdDKCgames or the classic Rare Super Nintendo trilogy. For those who want to play the game for the first time, or fans who want to take a trip down nostalgia lane,Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Questwill be available in just a few days.
