As players progress through the realms and unlock new characters inDisney Dreamlight Valley, each character will ask for help with their personal problems. While Saviors are lending a hand, encountering some requests that require very specific materials is unavoidable. One of these materials is Sand.
The world ofDisney Dreamlight Valleyis filled with multiple biomes that can be discovered (but at a price). Each one costs a certain amount of Dreamlight, meaning players won’t have the luxury to search every biome at their leisure. Luckily, there is one biome that can be unlocked in the early game that provides Sand.

Saviors only need one Royal Tool to gather Sand and may use another if they are in desperate need of the material. Location-wise, Sand can be found in one of the earliest Biomes in the game.
How To Farm Sand In Disney Dreamlight Valley
There are two methods to farm Dreamlight Valley Sand;digging the shore at Dazzle BeachinDisney Dreamlight Valleyusing the Shovelordestroying the blue rocksusing the Pickaxe inDisney Dreamlight Valley.
The Shovel Method
After traveling through the magical Well to the beach, pick any random spot and start digging using the Shovel. Keep repeating the same process until Sand comes out. As for the amount, it depends on players' luck, since it is possible that over one Sand pops out. Furthermore, the time spent farming this material varies, as sometimes 20 Sand can be collected in five minutes, and at other times the same amount can be gathered in 10 minutes. Not all spots rewards Sand as there areother materials inDisney Dreamlight Valleyhidden beneath the ground like certain Seafood ingredients.
The Shovel is obtained by completing the first task inDisney Dreamlight Valleywhich is collecting all the Royal Tools. To find the Shovel, head to the right side of the fountain in The Plaza and collect the tool stuck in the ground near Chez Remy restaurant.
To make the process easier, hanging out with a companion that has a digging bonus will certainly double the amount of Sand.

Upon reaching Friendship Level two withany companion inDisney Dreamlight Valley, it will become possible to assign roles to the characters thus facilitating players’ journey.
Theother materials inDisney Dreamlight Valleythat can be looted from digging around in Dazzle Beach are Star Coins, Pebbles, Clams, and Scallops.
The Pickaxe Method
Another great method to farm Sand is by destroying the small blue rocks on Dazzle Beach. But bear in mind thatthese rocks can only be destroyed by a Pickaxe +1.
To upgrade the Royal Tool, Saviors must first gain access to the Moana Realm and bring Maui the Demi-God back to the village. Next, increase Maui’s Friendship to level four to triggerA Tale of Stone and Fire Quest inDisney Dreamlight Valley. Upon collecting the necessary materials, go back to the Demi-God who requests a 5-Star meal of any kind.
Once the Pickaxe is upgraded on the Crafting Station, teleport to Dazzle Beach and approach the blue rocks. Destroy them to collect some Sand inDisney Dreamlight Valley.

How To Use Sand In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Sand is mainly used to craft Glass at a Crafting Table prior to a character’s request. For example, the second Friendship Quest for Ursula needs an Empty Vial and Purple Pigment, which can be done by using Glass; thus, Sand is essential for this process. The recipe for Glass calls for five Sand and one Coal Ore.
Other than Glass, players can also craft items from the Furniture section like the Zen Garden and all types of Beach Torches to decorate their personal space. As for the Fence and Paving section, it’s possible to createnew tiles for the house inDisney Dreamlight Valleylike Natural Rock Path and Asphalt. The former requires Sand and Pebbles, whereas the latter needs Sand, Pebbles, and Coal Ore.
How To Unlock Dazzle Beach In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Dazzle Beach is right beneath the Peaceful Meadows, and it only costs 1,000 Dreamlight to unlock it. Considering other biomes’ price varies from 4,000 to 10,000 Dreamlight, Dazzle Beach is extremely affordable. Unlike biomes like Frosted Heights, which require opening the Forest of Valor, it can be accessed early on.
Completing a couple of daily tasks will easily reward players with the needed amount of Dreamlight. Another of Dazzle Beach’s amazing advantages is thatnew characters will be unlocked like Arieland Ursula, and also, new Friendship Quests will become available.
