The final phase of Season of Dawn finally kicked off this week. Saint-14 and Osiris began the Empyrean Foundation project, which many are linking to the Trials of Osiris PvP mode. While Bungie isn’t saying for sure, the community has already raced passed the first three donation goals in just a matter of days. With seven goals in total, the community appears to be well on its way to unlocking some new cutscene or mission that will take players back to the Caloris Basin on Mercury.
In addition to donating vast amounts of Fractaline, players can venture back into the Sundial to face off against Inotam, a boss character that adds an interesting final fight to the seasonal mode. Unlike the last season’s final fight, Inotam has a new arena and moveset based on the three previous flayers. It certainly adds a unique and interesting twist to the experience and so far, the community seems pretty happy with the result.

Since it’s Friday,Destiny 2’sexotic merchant Xur has returned once again with four exotic items up for purchase. Follow this guide for his location as well as a review of what he’s currently selling for the weekend of May 21, 2025.
Where is Xur?
This weekend, players will need to head to the Tower hangar to find Xur overlooking the snowy mountains.
From the default landing zone, immediately head to the left and following the path down into the Hangar. After entering the hangar, head left again past Arach Jalaal and his Dead Orbit crew and up a metal stair case. Xur is standing on a metal platform at the back of this room overlooking the mountain ranges below.

Class Armor
Keep in mind thatthe Armor 2.0 updatehas caused Xur’s items each week to mirror the rolls players get from pulling these items from their own Collections. As it stands, players should likely hold on to their shards if they already own the following items. Players can use the Fated Engram to pull something a little different if nothing in his inventory is appealing this week, including newer exotic items.
Here are Xur’s three gear pieces this weekend:
Aeon Soul - Warlock gauntlets
Let’s cut to the chase here. The Aeon Soul should be a hard pass for any Warlock, unless someone is looking to collect every piece of exotic gear.
Aeon Soul is part of the armor set for all three classes, the Warlock version comes with Aeon Energy which grants added grenade energy to Warlocks, barricade energy to Titans, and dodge energy to Hunters when the user throws a grenade. For teammates that aren’t wearing Aeon gear, they’ll only receive a small energy boost. Even if the entire fireteam was wearing the gear, the benefit it offers and the close proximity the group would need to remain in really isn’t worth taking up an exotic armor slot when a different armor piece could be used. There a way better options.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:
Knucklehead Radar - Hunter helm
The Hunter class gets the Knucklehead Radar helmet this week, which really lends itself to PvP modes inthe Crucible. Upgraded Sensor Pack is the intrinsic perk which enhances the player’s radar when crouched and keeps it on the screen when aiming down the sights.
Useful is the best term to describe this exotic as it’s not the best option out there for Hunters, but it’s extremely valuable in the right situations. Knowing where enemies are coming from even when aiming down the sights really comes in handy in competitive PvP modes which makes this helm is worth the asking price for those that don’t already own it.
Lion Rampant - Titan boots
Titans who need a bit of mobility and stability when making tricky jumps will want these rocket boots. Similar to the St0mp-EEZ for Hunters, Lion Rampant’s come with the perk Jump Jets which provides added maneuverability in the air and enables accurate hipfire while players are in the air during Lift. Basically, these boosts will help make Lift Titans jump for twice as long.
Naturally, these boots are great for more platforming based activities like Ascendant Challenges, Whisper of the Worm, andOutbreak Prime, to name a few. Outside of that, a players mileage will vary as they don’t offer a significant boost to combat boost like other Titan exotics.
Exotic Weapon
Fitting that the Black Talon is back on sale this week considering that just yesterday, Bungie detailed asweeping overhaul of Sword Class weapons. Black Talon is a great choice anyway thanks to its ability to fire projectiles at enemies, but the upcoming sandbox update could make it even better. This heavy sword features the Crow’s Wing perk which lets the user swing to fire off a cross combo projectile. Its secondary perk, Tireless Blade, gives ammo for every other powered sword kill.
While most people tend to stick with machine guns and grenade launchers over swords, the Black Talon has the advantage over other swords in that it is able to launch projectiles. Naturally, this means the player doesn’t have to get up close and personal to get a kill. This also pairs extremely well with the Stronghold exotic Titan gauntlets, turning players basically into an infinite sword fighter.
