With another season inDestiny 2comes another rotation of meta builds, thanks to the new Seasonal Artifact mods, Exotics, and balancing changes. As far as universal builds to use throughoutDestiny 2, Strand, Void, and Arc all have many powerful tools to utilize this Season. While the true meta may be unfazed by the changes brought on by the new Season, certain buildcrafting tools are still worth putting to use this Season.
SinceDestiny 2removed the Power level climb inSeason of the Deep, players who are already at the max level can now spend more time buildcrafting and less time climbing the ranks. With this in mind, there are still a few particular tools to hunt down and collect, though otherwise buildcrafting is that much easier this Season.

Buildcrafting in Destiny 2 Season of the Deep Focuses on Strand, Arc, and Void
The Navigator Exotic trace rifle is incredibly powerful in the hands of anyone using the Strand builds, at least for those lucky enough to get it. This Exotic weapon’s perk that applies Woven Mail to the user and friendly targets is extremely useful inDestiny 2’s PvP activities, as well as in endgame PvE content. This new Exotic weapon is arguably a must-have for Strand builds, except for the fact that the grind to unlock it can be extremely difficult. Any build, Strand or otherwise, can benefit from this weapon’s Woven Mail defensive buff, though it pairs extremely well with the newCenotaph Exotic helmet for Warlocks.
For players using the Void subclasses throughoutDestiny 2’s Season of the Deep, the Seasonal Artifact mods have a few select essentials, including the generic Authorized mod. The other particular Void mods to use this season are Unto the Breach, Protective Breach, and Supernova.
These mods all give Void Breaches enhanced production methods, utility, and damage buffs that aren’t too difficult to incorporate into pre-existing Void builds. The hardest part of using the Void Seasonal Artifact mods is that collecting Void Breaches requires players to be up close to enemies, which isn’t always wise in endgame content. While any character can put these mods to use, Titans usingNo Backup Plans Exotic glovesbuilds are a true powerhouse this Season.
The Seasonal Artifact from Season of the Deep also has a large selection of Arc and Strand mods that are highly effective. For builds that use either of these subclasses, players would be wise to utilize as many of the artifact mods as relevant to their current subclass builds since all of these mods are extremely powerful. The Arc mods from the Seasonal Artifact are great for making the most out of the Amplified player status, as well as a few additional buffs for Supers and grenades.
For the Strand builds this Season, the same applies that the majority of the seasonal mods should be considered necessities while they are currently available to utilize. The Strand mods from the Seasonal Artifact are all about increasing damage from Strand elemental weapons and debuffs. These mods can be relatively situational since there are only so many Strand weapons inDestiny 2at the moment, therefore players should verify to collect good Strand weapons, like the craftableRufus’s Fury legendary auto rifle, or the Navigator Exotic trace rifle.
Another buildcrafting component to put to use this Season is the new Strand subclass aspects for each of the 3 character classes. Of all the new Strand Aspects, Warlocks arguably have the best potential for endgame builds, though the Hunter and Titan Strand Aspects are still plenty of fun to use.
Outside the meta exclusive to the currentSeasonal Artifact mods, Armor Charge and Elemental Surge mods continue to be top-tier for universal buildcrafting inDestiny 2. Armor Charge mods come with a variety of offensive, defensive, and ability-focused options for players to invest in, and it even allows players to become a jack of all trades by using a mixed combination.
