While not the most successful ever,Destiny 2’s Season of the Lost came with two important changes that made gameplay feel different. The first big departure from the standardDestiny 2experience is that the ammo economy was drastically altered by giving primary weapons infinite ammo, removing primary ammo bricks from the world.Infinite ammois useful in both PvE and PvP, and even makes some weapons better.
Bows were affected by this change the most, considering that none of them use special ammo and there is only one heavy ammo bow inDestiny 2. The second notable change was made to Kinetic weapons, which have always dealt non-elemental damage up untilSeason of the Lost’s sandbox patch. However,Destiny 2players can now find Stasis Kinetic weapons that come with their own set of new perks, like Headstone. That means it’s likely that there will be more Stasis weapons coming in the future.

Ever since the announcement,Destiny 2players hoped to see a Stasis Kinetic bow as a result of the change, especially seeing that the Wolftone Draw bow was added as part of Season of the Lost’s seasonal loot pool. As such, a Reddit user by the name of DeimosDs3 made a post stating thatDestiny 2should get a Stasis Exotic bow next, a statement that stems from the fact that the only other Exotic Kinetic bow inDestiny 2is useless in PvE and nonoptimal in PvP. Season of the Lost features an Overload Champion mod for bows, and having a great PvE option in the Kinetic slot, and a Stasis bow on top of that, would improve build variety.
Another player commented that they would like to see a Stasis bow shoot icicles, which most likely wouldn’t be possible with a Legendary bow, but an Exotic bow could explore that option. Perks like Headstone and Archer’s Gambit are also very popular within theDestiny 2community, and getting an Exotic bow with either of them would be great - if not a Legendary one as well.
Still, next week the 30th Anniversary Pack will launch, and aHalocrossover is rumored to come toDestiny 2. Either way, the DLC is guaranteed to include plenty of new weapons, and while it might be too soon for an Exotic Stasis bow, it’s not impossible that players will get a Legendary one in its stead.
Destiny 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
