Destiny 2 Void 3.0 Hunter Subclass

Because The Corrupted is a long GM with many dangerous encounters,Destiny 2’s Huntersare best built around Void subclasses and invisibility, with a focus on Omnioculus and Graviton Forfeit.

The alternative, in case multiple Void Hunters are present, is to run the Aeon Swift Exotic to grant Special and Heavy ammo to allies while using finishers on Elite enemies or mini-bosses. This goes hand in hand with Echo of Obscurity.

Destiny 2’s Titansshould use a Void loadout to focus on ability spam via Heart of Inmost Light, which helps clear enemies and refill Super energy to cast Ward of Dawn as often as possible.

An alternative is to use Helm of Saint-14 for harder encounters, such as the first part boss room, or use an Exotic like Ursa Furiosa to go the Banner Shield route.

Destiny 2’s Warlockshave fewer options in this specific GM because the most helpful combination is going to be Dawnblade plus Well of Radiance for increased survivability.

This works best with Starfire Protocol for grenade spam or Phoenix Protocol for more frequent Super usage across the board.

Beginning of the Strike

Immediately after loading in,Destiny 2players will be met with anOverload Championspawning in front of them. This Champion should be stunned and then defeated as soon as possible so that players can then move to the right part of the map to stay safer.

From there, the objective is to defeat Void-shielded Taken enemies and the additional Overload Champions that usually appear in the middle of the map, near the Void-shielded Centurion mini-boss.

Players should defeatScornand Taken adds first, then focus on the Champions and leave the mini-boss for last so that it doesn’t die before all Overload Champions spawn, which could cost the Platinum rank for the rewards at the end.

The Elevator

Players will then proceed to the elevator, where they will have to defeat a couple of Taken Psions to clear the room before activating the console.

It’s important to pick up the Relics at either side of the elevator and launch them to another player, charging them.Destiny 2playerswill then have to activate the console and defeat adds spawning on the other side of the elevator.

Then, three Taken mini-bosses will spawn, and they will be immune to damage unless their shields are broken by hitting them with the charged Relics.

Once all enemies are dead, players will have to quickly repeat the process of passing Relics to otherGuardians, as another wave of enemies will spawn.

It’s useful to defeat all adds before throwing the Relic at the shielded mini-bosses because the Relic might auto-target enemies that are not shielded, thus wasting the charge.

Enter the Temple

Once outside the elevator,Destiny 2players will find an Unstoppable Champion on top of the stairs ahead, alongside multiple Hive enemies and two Arc-shielded Knights.

Taking out the Champion first will cause the remaining adds to retreat into the temple so that players can safely take out the Shrieker in the other room and then defeat the remaining enemies before proceeding.

Players should then move along the path, where they will find a total of two Unstoppable Champions, three Shriekers, and several Knights. The best way to avoid dangerous engagements is to isolate theChampions, kill them, then clear the path from Knights and take on Shriekers.

Twin Ogres

The next encounter is one of the trickiest of the Strike because players will be teleported to and from the same room in the Ascendant Plane, and each version of the room has anOgre mini-bossand multiple Void-shielded, Arc-shielded, and Solar-shielded adds.

The best way to clear the encounter without missing Champions and losing the Platinum rank is to start killing the Unstoppable Champion in the normal room, and then take out the Ogre mini-boss found there as well.

If players are teleported to the Ascendant Place before the Ogre is dead they should just clear adds and avoid the Ascendant Ogre at all costs, then finally kill the normal Ogre once they are teleported back.

When the normal Ogre is dead,Destiny 2players will only be teleported to the Ascendant Plane once, and they will stay there until they take the portal out.

To do that, it’s important to kill both Unstoppable Champions in the room first and then the Ascendant Ogre, eventually escaping the room from the upper level and into the portal at the end to avoid Shriekers and their projectiles.

Delve Deeper in the Temple

Once players are back, they will see two Unstoppable Champions and multiple Taken Thralls ahead.

The best way forward is to stun Unstoppable Champions with theRevitalizing Blast modequipped, causing a Solar ignition that can take out several Thralls at once, and then unload Heavy or Special weapons into the Champions to kill them.

On the pillars at the sides of the room, players will see two Void-shielded Taken Hobgoblins, which should then be defeated promptly to avoid Stasis projectiles.

Down the stairs will be again twoUnstoppable Championsand a multitude of Thralls, which players should approach the same way as before, this time trying to save ammo by killing Champions with Primary weapons.

Further down on the right side will be an Overload Champion, which players should try and take out from afar. On the left will be an annoying Taken mini-boss that creates impenetrable barriers when its health drops.

The mini-boss can be skipped, however, only costing a few points in the long term.

Reach the Corrupted Techeun

After exiting the previous room,Destiny 2players will have to drop down to the next area while avoiding rotating floatingTaken orbs, which is not easy to do in a straight line. Instead, players should attempt to jump over the orbs and then fall down into the portal.

The next area features several Void-shielded enemies and Taken Thralls on a floating rock, accompanied by an Overload Champion. Players should take out the adds from a distance and then burst down the Overload Champion.

Moving forward, players will then have to clear another floating rock fromVoid-shielded Taken enemies, which will be a great platform to use for clearing adds on the next level.

In fact, players will have to defeat two invisible Taken Minotaurs, Thralls, and a bigger invisible Taken Minotaur mini-boss in the middle of the area.

Once all enemies are dead, players can move forward to defeat an Overload Champion next to a Taken Vandal, located just below the main platform. Players should defeat the Champion first in order to avoid the impenetrable barrier that the Vandal would cast when low on health.

Before proceeding to the boss arena, there will be another Overload Champion up ahead with another Taken Vandal beside it.

Boss Room

The boss room can be a dangerous place for players because there are times when they will be swarmed by adds, as many Taken Psions and several Solar-shielded Knights will move to the middle of the room after the boss is first dealt damage.

To begin the first damage phase, players will have to first approach the arena and let a few adds spawn on the right side, at which point it’s best to retreat to the platform preceding the arena and defeat them from afar with grenades orPrimary weapons.

Then, one player should go to the right side of the arena and grab a Relic and throw it at a teammate, following the same mechanics as the elevator room. This is to one-shot Sedia’s shield and begins the damage phase immediately.

It’s entirely possible forDestiny 2players to one-phase The Corrupted’s boss, avoiding the Ascendant Plane section entirely, but this requires a lot of coordination between team members and great DPS across the board with Heavy weapons and Supers.

Because The Corrupted has the Acute Arc Burn modifier active, players should use the newStormchaser linear fusion rifleto damage the boss as much as possible during the first damage phase, maybe using Supers like Well of Radiance and Moebius Quiver to help.

If players fail to one-shot the boss, one of two things will happen: the boss will teleport to the left side of the arena or the boss will directly move to the Ascendant Plane if it sustained too much damage.

Regardless of what happens, a very high number of adds will spawn and move to the middle of the map, and a Relic will spawn on the left side of the arena.

Players should immediately retreat to the platform in the back and defeat all the adds from a distance, while also avoiding Sedia’s powerful shots. It’s worth mentioning that the adds can be skipped only if the boss goes to the Ascendant Plane after the first phase.

Havinggrenades and Supersready for this part will make it much easier; otherwise, patience is key.

Once the adds are dead, players can grab the second Relic, pass it to another team member, and throw it at the boss for a second damage phase.

Boss Room - Ascendant Plane

The second part of the boss fight then happens in the Ascendant Plane, where players will first need to reach the boss arena once again.

When inside,Destiny 2players should defeat adds on the platform ahead and take care of the Overload Champion that spawns there, which is made a bit harder bySedia’s shotsinterfering.

After this, players will move to where the enemies were standing and have to shoot the enemies on the parallel platform, including an Unstoppable Champion, a Solar-shielded Knight, and a Taken Vandal.

This part is more difficult because of the distance between the platforms and the fact that the Vandal will repeatedly create barriers for it and other enemies to stand inside.

Once all enemies are taken care of, players will get to advance to the boss arena, which will be smaller and with fewer options for cover. Here, it’s easy to bepushed out of the arena by Sedia’s scream attack, which always occurs after an attempt to throw players in the air at a specific location marked on the ground.

Players will have to defeat a small number of adds to clear the room, and then they will be able to grab the Relic on the right side to initiate another damage phase.

If the boss survives, many adds will spawn in the room, including Solar-shielded enemies. Here, players will have to be extra careful to avoid being pushed out of the arena and have the whole teamwipe during the GM Nightfall.

The Relic will then spawn in the middle of the map, and players should grab it, pass it to another team member, and finally finish the Strike with one last damage phase.

Once the boss dies, The Corrupted Grandmaster Nightfall will end, awardingDestiny 2players with loot and a Triumph associated with theConqueror Seal.

Destiny 2is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
