Mass Effectis one of the most beloved RPG franchises in modern gaming, and its cast of characters are a big reason for that. With many hoping that aMass Effecttelevision series will bring these characters to a new audience, one fan has combined the game’s cast with the intro for the hugely successfulArcane.

Arcaneproved to be a big hit with bothLeague of Legendsfans and those entirely unfamiliar with the game’s story. A unique animation style and great performances allowed figures like Vi and Jinx to connect with audiences, and many have requested similarshows for franchises likeOverwatchand, fittingly,Mass Effect. While Amazon’sMass Effectseries will apparently be live action if it is ever greenlit, many would surely like to see an animated project in the vein ofArcaneone day.

One of the manygreat aspects ofArcaneis its intro sequence, which features some gorgeous statues of the show’s cast. As viewers take in the visuals, the Imagine Dragons song “Enemy” plays in the background. With a popular track and a beautiful set of opening credits, many edited versions of the sequence have been posted online. The latest comes from Reddit user ZeoNyph, and it incorporates their username, BioWare, and EA into the list of credits. However, the statues are the real stars of the intro.

These statues take on the same poses asArcane’s characters, with the first pair of sculptures showing Liara and Shepard standing back to back. Zaeed is seen holding up a crystal, while Tali reads a book.Garrusis an excellent stand-in for Caitlyn, as he looks great taking on her pose and holding his signature sniper rifle. Captain Anderson makes an appearance, as does the beloved Geth Legion. As the video continues, moreMass Effectcharacters appear, with a large portion of the cast represented by the time it ends.

At the end of the animation, Shepard is seen using her Omni-Tool during a fight with Saren, the antagonist from the original game. The logo then appears, with ZeoNyph perfectly recreating every aspect ofArcane’s intro sequence. It is clear that a lot of effort went into this project, so it is no surprise thattheMass Effectcommunityhas been showering the animator with praise. Alongside over 3,000 upvotes, commenters shared how much they loved the edit and encouraged otherMass Effectfans to watchArcane.

ThoughMass Effect’s version of the Milky Wayand the region of Zaun are very different, it is nice to see an ambitious crossover like this working so well. While it remains to be seen if aMass Effectshow ever becomes a reality, an official intro that resemblesArcane’s would be nice to see if it happens.
