The economy ofDead by Daylightdepends first and foremost on Bloodpoints. They are used by killers and survivors alike to purchase the perks, items, add-ons, and offerings that they will take with them into the Trial. A shortage of Bloodpoints can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

No matter how many Bloodpoints one has, there never seem to be enough. There’s always one more perk just out of reach, one more character that needs just a little more to make their build complete. The business of earning Bloodpoints can be complex, but with a bit of planning, the points will come rolling in, and the player will have everything they need.
10Use Bloodpoint Addons
One option for grinding Bloodpoints is to use add-ons designed specifically for that purpose, such as the Cannibal’s Speed Limiter and the Trapper’s Padded Jaws. These add-ons double the number of Bloodpoints earned for specific actions at the cost of a major flaw.
For example, the Speed Limiter takes Bubba’s Chainsaw, a power that can normally put a survivor into the dying state with a single hit, and make it only deal a single health state of damage instead. These add-onsmake even easy killers a challenge, however, so players that use them should be prepared to lose games even as their Bloodpoints soar.

9Use Bloodpoint Offerings
Survivors and killers both have access to offerings that grant additional Bloodpoints. Some boost points only within a particular emblem category while others boost points across the board. Though these offerings cost Bloodpoints to purchase from the Bloodweb, their cost is negligible compared to their returns.

Survivor Pudding, Escape! Cake, and Bloody Party Streamers are some of the best offerings that a player can bring.Even better, these offerings don’t weaken the character or require them to play in any special way: the player simply brings them into the Trial and is rewarded afterward with additional points. Players that don’t need to bring any other kind of offering should bring Bloodpoint offerings by default so that no opportunity for gain is wasted.
8Maximize Emblem Categories
Bloodpoints are earned by completing actions divided into four categories. For survivors, the categories areLightbringer,Unbroken,Benevolent, andEvader. For killers, the categories areGatekeeper,Devout,Malicious, andChaser.
The specifics of how points are earned within each category are complex, but in brief, the character earns points by doing things associated with their role, such as powering generators, breaking totems, chasing survivors, and hooking survivors.

Emblems of varying rank are awarded at the end of each Trial based on the player’s performance. Those that perform better are rewarded with more Bloodpoints.A strong build always helps. For those serious about grinding points, it’s worth learning how emblems are awarded.
7Synergize Your Builds
It’s no secret that choosing perks with good synergy can make a massive difference in one’s success. Hex: Undying isn’t useless by itself but paired with another Hex perk its true potential is unlocked. Build synergy might seem to have nothing to do with farming Bloodpoints, but it’s actually critical.

The logic is simple: stronger builds allow survivors and killers to perform better in the Trials andperforming better in the Trials awards more Bloodpoints.Players must be cautious, however, as there is a point at which diminishing returns become an issue. A build that allows someone to regularly 4k with Nurse within the first couple of minutes is counterproductive to Bloodpoint farming, as it doesn’t give the player time to work on their emblems.
6Remember What Events Are Scored
Bloodpoints are granted whenever the player completes one of several scored events. The list of these events is long. Forsurvivors, these events include:
For thekiller, scored events include:
By remembering what events are scored,a player can focus on events they’ve been neglecting. No matterthe quality of the survivoror killer, event scoring matters.
5Use The Survivor BP Build
For survivors, one of the best Bloodpoint farming builds isProve Thyself,Kindred,Sabotage, andWe’re Gonna Live Forever. Kindred facilitates easier unhooks, helping to score altruism points. Sabotage allows the player to sabotage hooks for further altruism. Prove Thyself helps when working on generators.

We’re Gonna Live Forever is the survivor’s equivalent of the notorious killer perk Barbeque and Chili.Itgrants the player 25% additional Bloodpoints(to a maximum bonus of100%) whenever the survivor stuns or blinds the killer to save a teammate, takes a protection hit for an injured survivor, or safely unhooks.
4Play With A SWF
Playing with friends, commonly known as Survive With Friends or SWF, can be a great way to increase the number of Bloodpoints earned. Not only will doing so allow the player to coordinate the usage of Bloodpoint offerings like the Bloody Party Streamers and Escape! Cake,it also allows players tocoordinate their buildsand strategy, giving them the best possible chance for surviving the Trials.
The hardships that players face in theDead by Daylightsolo queue are legendary, so playing with friends can be one of the best ways to farm Bloodpoints. As an added benefit, playing with friends is one of the most fun ways to play.

3Avoid Camping
Since the implementation of the controversial Skill-based Matchmaking (SBMM) system, camping has become a favored tactic for many killers as it is an efficient, if unfun, method of securing kills. The emblem system, however, pointedly punishes camping by deducting points from the Chaser category for each second that the killer remains in close proximity to a hooked survivor.

Spreading pressure map-wide across multiple survivors is optimal for gaining Bloodpoints, even if it isn’t always optimal for securing kills. Though every survivor must die in the end to achieve an iridescent Chaser emblem, a more pursuit-oriented playstyle is necessary for the early-to-mid game when Bloodpoints are the goal.
2Look Out For Events And Codes
To reward those that play regularly, BHVR commonly gives out codes for Bloodpoints that can be redeemed in the in-game store. Players on the lookout for new codes can easily net themselves hundreds of thousands of free points.
In addition to these offerings, the developer sometimes hosts Bloodpoint events, such as a weekend during which all earned Bloodpoints are automatically doubled.Playing during such events is one of the best ways to earn Bloodpoints,as it requires only that the player do what they would already be doing: playing the game,no certain killeror survivor required.

1Barbeque And Chili
The number one thing a killer can do to get more Bloodpoints is to use the perk Barbeque and Chili, available as a Teachable from the Cannibal at level 35. Unfortunately, because the Cannibal is a DLC character, securing this perk without spending real money depends on the perk appearing in the Shrine of Secrets, a rare occurrence indeed. With Barbeque and Chili equipped, the killer earns a 25% bonus to Bloodpoints at the end of the Trial for each unique survivor they have hooked. That the perk also reveals the auras of distant survivors when someone is hooked only sweetens the deal. If it feels like there are a lot of Cannibals running around the Entity’s realm, this perk is probably why.
Dead By Daylightwas released in June 2016 and is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Stadia.
