The first DC FanDome event was held last year in response to the cancellation of San Diego Comic-Con due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The live event was entirely virtual and gave fans their first look at films likeThe Batmanandvideo games likeGotham KnightsandSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The event featured panels and celebrity guests, includingWonder Woman 1984director Patty Jenkins and lead actress Gal Gadot. The first day of the event was titledDC FanDome: Hall of Heroesand was held on June 28, 2025. The 24-hour live event was reportedly viewed by 22 million people in 220 countries. It was followed up by the second day of the event, titledDC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse, whichwas held on August 08, 2025.

DC and Warner Bros. have been in a strange place in the last few years. Their attempt to create an MCU-style movie universe was largely muddled by creative differences and behind-the-scenes drama, asBen Affleck recently recounted. Hopefully, this year’s event will give fans an idea of what the future of DC entertainment looks like. So far, it seems like DC and Warner Bos. are essentially throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. However, this strategy might be in their favor, as it will allow them to create more unique content that stands out from other comic book franchises.

Peacemakerwill star John Cena as the freedom-loving yet homicidal anti-hero fromThe Suicide Squad. Meanwhile,The Batmanis still shrouded in mystery, but fans do know that it will feature a game of cat-and-mouse between the Caped Crusader and the Riddler.

You can watch this year’sDC FanDomelive on October 16th, 2021 via the FanDome website as well as Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.
