As reported byDeadline, Foley will be portraying Danish Graves, an in-house counsel and prime advisor to self-made billionaire Lorraine Lyons (portrayed by Leigh). Foley is known for his roles on the revived seriesKids in the Halland his work on Apple’sThe Morning Show.WhenFargowas renewed for season 5 at FX, a logline was put out for the season reading, “When is a kidnapping not a kidnapping, and what if your wife isn’t yours?” The season also purports to be “based on true events,” as do the other seasons and the William H. Macy-starring original film, though they’re all completely fictitious stories.

Though each season is an anthology, fans have been debatinghow all four seasons ofFargoare connected. There have been several characters who appear at different ages and under different pseudonyms throughout the show, so who’s to say Foley’s Danish Graves isn’t one of them? On the other hand, the series usually likes to keep its connections to a minimum, and the plotlines very rarely intersect on a grand scale.

Foley’s comedic work indicates the season is going to be returning to black comedy, as is theFargoway. The actor is primarily known for taking on comedies and is a stand-up comic in addition to his performance work. Each season of the show also usually contains references tothe Coen Brothers' movies, and this season probably won’t be any different. It will be interesting to see what series creator and primary writer Noah Hawley has up his sleeve this time around.
