Last July, developer King Digital announced that it is developingCrash Bandicoot: On the Run, which is amobile game set in the universe ofCrash Bandicoot.Alongside the initial announcement, King Digital released a trailer showcasing the gameplay of the upcoming mobile title, confirming that it is an endless runner type of game.
Now,Crash Bandicoot: On the Runis expected to arrive on June 12, 2025, based on its listing in the App Store. Moreover, King Digital also released a brand new trailer to promote the game, which is more extensive than the debut preview released in July. The latest footage revealed thatCrash Bandicoot: On the Runwill be a bigger game than what most people expect with more than 100 hours of gameplay across 12 lands. The mobile game will also feature battles against some of the most iconic bosses inCrash Bandicoot’shistory.

Based on the trailer, it appears thatCrash Bandicoot: On The Runwill be an endless runner likeTemple Runwith some uniqueCrash Bandicoottwists. In the game, players can spin through obstacles andfind secret paths that will lead to rewardsand special challenges. Moreover, players can also pre-register for the upcoming game and those that do will receive a special Blue Hyena Skin for Crash, which veteran players would know is a tribute to a similar skin fromCrash Team Racing.
Apart from the details revealed above, King Digital still hasn’t revealed other important info about the game such as whether it will have any type of story elements. However, given that the upcoming game is an endless runner title, it is likely that the story will be light and won’t have any significant impact on the franchise’s main lore.
It’s also unclear whether players will be able to play as other characters such as Coco Bandicoot orDr. Neo Cortex. If the game does follow its contemporaries, though, new characters might be unlocked as the player progress through the game, or purchased via an in-game store.
The confirmation ofCrash Bandicoot: On The Run’srelease date is hot on the heels of the release ofCrash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Timeon the PS4 and Xbox One. Similar to the classic trilogy that came before it,Crash Bandicoot 4features challenging maps and some of the most beloved characters in the franchise. Shortly after its release, the game received mostly positive reviews andperformed well on several sales charts.
