What is Cooking Simulator: Shelter?

As the name suggests,Cooking Simulator: Shelterwill have players cookingin an underground shelter in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Unlike theCooking Simulatorbase game, players will also have to gather resources to cook with, some of which will be scarce to find. The description says that players can hunt for “mutant meat” and even grow glowing foods like vegetables and mushrooms. While it’s unclear what capacity players will be actively interacting with or hunting for resources, they’ll still have a small space to grow a garden in their shelter.

While players may be used to wreaking havoc in Sandbox mode orcooking in their own restaurant in Campaign mode,Cooking Simulator: Shelteris shaping up to be quite a differentCooking Simulatorexperience. However,Shelterwill still have a Sandbox mode. Players get a bit of a backstory inCooking Simulator: Shelteras well, with the Campaign mode sending them on a quest to reunite with their family. The underground shelter is located in a place called Sector 12 and players must repair an old radio satellite dish, but they’ll need help from the locals to get it running. Additionally, players will also be the “only skilled cook” in the Sector, so they’ll have to trade and partner up with different settlements and caravans in the surrounding area.
