Behaviour Interactive has been teasing fans about what they can expect fromDead by Daylight’s next chapter, and now Chucky’s debut has finally been confirmed.
As one of the most iconic horror villains of all time, Chucky has long been rumored forDead by Daylight. The ChuckyDead by Daylightrumors started to ramp up significantly whenBehaviour Interactive posted a teasershowing a missing kitchen knife, the doll’s signature weapon. Now those rumors have been confirmed, as Behaviour Interactive has officially pulled the curtain back on Chucky inDead by Daylight.
Chucky will be making hisDead by Daylightdebut on November 28, though public test builds will be available before then. Chucky inDead by Daylightwill be voiced by Brad Dourif, the actor who has played the character in the vast majority of his film and television appearances dating back to theoriginalChild’s Playmovie. Behaviour’s Mathieu Côté noted the challenges in bringing Chucky to the game, stating, “It’s a character that I never thought we could bring into The Fog because of his size. The team has outdone itself to prove me wrong. Players are in for a treat - Chucky inDead by Daylightreally is the unmissable multiplayer horror gaming experience.”

Behaviour teased some of Chucky’s abilities inDead by Daylight. Chucky has the Slice & Dice ability that he can use to lunge at unlucky Survivors. He is also able to summon the spirit of Charles Lee Ray, his human form, to hook Survivors and perform other actions. Chucky’s Scamper ability gives him increased mobility compared tootherDead by DaylightKillers.
As usual, fans can expect plenty of Easter eggs for Chucky, including nods to famous scenes from theChild’s Playmovies. Perhaps most notably, Chucky will have alternate outfits that let players customize his appearance, including a special Good Gal outfit that makes Chucky look likehis bride Tiffany, who will be voiced by Jennifer Tilly as she is in the movies.
