EA Capital Games' popular turn-based strategy RPGStar Wars: Galaxy of Heroeslaunched in 2015. Since then, it’s brought myriad characters (known to players as “toons”) from theStar Warsuniverse to mobile gaming platforms everywhere. It’s a lexicon-spanning collection, including characters from all canon films, live-action streaming shows, and video games. It also reaches into the non-canon “Expanded Universe”, now formally known asLegends(Boba Fett in particular has put on a great showing there), including characters from old novels and video games.

There are, however, a few glaring omissions fans have been curious about. In a game that includes squads of Jawas, Ewoks, and Tusken Raiders, along with various background characters (such as the Coruscant Underworld Police), the lack of certain other better-known characters feels strange. Capital Games is constantly expanding the roster, however, so time will tell if the following toons ever see the light of day.

10Jar-Jar Binks: Potential For Silly And Unique Powers

Widely and wildly derided by fans since 1999, the goofy Gungan is about the only main character from the prequel trilogy not to appear in the game. Perhaps Capital Games wants to avoid backlash at adding the character (he did pretty much create the Empire after all).

However, his antics could provide some interesting powers, if not flat-out comic relief. It might even be fun to see an entire squad of Gungans added to the roster, with Boss Nass, Captain Tarpals, and a couple of Gungan soldier units to fill out the team.

9Jabba The Hutt: A Unique Potential Villain

Several characters fromStar Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jediappear in the game: Admiral Ackbar, a Gamorrean Guard, the Emperor’s Royal Guard, a full squad of Ewoks, and even Jedi Knight Luke in his fashionable black tunic and single black-gloved hand.

Guilds can even participate in two separate raids against the mighty Rancor. where’s everyone’s favourite space slug, then? The development team may think that players would find it hard to accept Jabba as an effective combatant, but the game features Ugnaughts, Ewoks, and Jawas. There’s no reason why this couldn’t happen.

8Supreme Leader Snoke: Force Lightning And Hux Humiliation

Teased inStar Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakensas the sequel trilogy’s Big Bad, Supreme Leader Snoke turned out to be an experimental clone created by Palpatine. Fans learned very little about the character before his abrupt demise inStar Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, but he was known to be a powerful Force-user and leader of the First Order (not to mention a mentor to Kylo Ren).

While the First Order is well-represented already in-game, the exclusion of Snoke is a missed opportunity for another powerful Dark Side toon.

7Hondo Ohnaka: Pirate Powers And Negotiation

Fan-favorite Hondo Ohnaka is a Weequay pirate whose misadventures span bothStar Wars: The Clone WarsandStar Wars: Rebels. His absence fromGalaxy of Heroesmay stem from Capital Games not knowing where to put him, as there is no Pirate tag.

There is a Scoundrel tag, however, and Hondo would certainly fit there. As fans clamor for Hondo to make a live-action appearance, so do players long for his addition to the roster. He could certainly have synergy with the Phoenix squad, or even the Galactic Republic.Lesser-appreciatedStar Warscharacters deserve recognition too.

6High Republic Jedi: A New Era Of Power Possibilities

The High Republic era is rather new to the series' canon, having only appeared in novels and comics thus far. Its first phase recently came to a stunning conclusion, the forthcoming live-action showThe Acolyteon Disney+ apparently occurs at the end of this period, andQuantic Dreams' upcomingStar Wars: Eclipseshould fill out even more of the era. While the High Republic is full of amazing characters, it would be fantastic to see a few High Republic Jedi added to the game: namely Avar Kriss, Stellan Gios, and Elzar Mann. These are Jedi at their very best, and they would be a welcome addition.

The inclusion of these characters would also open up the possibility of including villains like the Nihil and the Drengir, though fans are not generally too fond of the Dark Side plant monsters.

5Saw Gerrera: Saga-Spanning Experience

Saw Gerrera has appeared in several iterations ofStar Warslore. The fierce but wary rebel fighter met his end inRogue One: A Star Wars Story, but first appeared inThe Clone Warsanimated series, as well as in the EA gameStar WarsJedi: Fallen Order.

His absence inGalaxy of Heroesmay be another instance of placement problems. The mainRogue Oneteam is already in the game, so it might not make sense to include Saw without also including the rest of radical rebel cell the Partisans. It might also be a question of which version of Saw to include. The fact remains, though: The game includes five different iterations of Chewbacca, and no Saws.

4Black Krrsantan: Power Knuckles And Arm-Ripping Strength

A former gladiator turned bounty hunter,Black Krrsantan made the jump from comics to live actioninThe Book of Boba Fett. It’s hard to believe this ferocious, furry fan-favorite won’t eventually be added to the game, but at the time of writing, it hasn’t happened yet.

The game features several bounty hunters already (including two versions of Boba Fett), but with five different Chewbaccas and Zaalbar (fromStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic), there must be room for at least one more Wookie. Players would surely be thrilled to use Krrsantan’s electrified brass knuckles against their foes.

3Cal Kestis: All The Powers Of The Fallen Order

Cal Kestis is the protagonist of Electronic Arts’Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The game sees Cal as both a padawan losing his master to Order 66, and as a Jedi refugee in the age of the Galactic Empire. Cal is a hugely popular character among fans, andGalaxy of Heroesplayers have been calling for his introduction for a while now.

There’s a precedent here, as the game already features characters found in theStar WarsgamesKnights of the Old Republicand its sequel. As of this writing, recent additions have been fromFallen Order:Second Sister and Ninth Sister, so Cal may not be far behind. However, those recent characters fall under the tag ofthe mysterious Inquisitorious, which may herald the coming of a different character instead.

2Grand Inquisitor: Lightsaber Skills And Dark Force Powers

Hailing from Utapau, the character known only as the Grand Inquisitor appears inRebelsand the comics. He is the leader of the Inquisitorius, a group of Dark Side Force users created by Emperor Palpatine to hunt down any Jedi who managed to survive the purge of Order 66.

His eventual addition to the game seems imminent, given the recently created Inquisitorius tag and inclusion of two other Inquisitor toons. Fans will surely not be satisfied untilGalaxy of Heroesincludes more spinning double-bladed lightsabers, which is more than understandable.

1General Leia: Powers From Princess to Politician

Perhaps the most stunning omission from the game is General Leia Organa-Solo. While the sequel trilogy era is widely represented in the game, and despite there already being two versions of Princess Leia available (she’s popped up as a playable character in a lot of titles over the years), fans can never get enough of the rebel princess-turned-Resistance leader.

This version of the character would be perfect as an addition to the Galactic Legend Collection, which already features versions of Luke Skywalker, Palpatine, Rey and Kylo Ren. Capital Games would be wise, however, not to include her flying through space like Mary Poppins as a power in her kit.
