Call of Duty: Warzone’s recent playlist update removed the standard version of Trios from the game and replaced it with a new mode called Scopes and Scatterguns, which is a Trios mode that limits players to using only snipers and shotguns. Unfortunately, some players are upset about the playlist update.

Thankfully,Call of Duty: Warzonehas provided an official date for the return of the standard Trios mode, seemingly in direct response to the backlash from players. In a tweet posted last night, Infinity Ward confirmed that BR Trios would be returning with another playlist update tonight at 11 PM PST.

Infinity Ward’s response is impressively quick, as therecent playlist updateonly went live two days ago on the 14th of April. Since then, Infinity Ward has not only heard the backlash from its player base, but also came up with a solution and shared it with the public with a date and time to boot.

Scopes and Scatterguns itself isn’t a bad mode; the backlash came mostly as a result of it replacing the standard BR Trios mode. While Infinity Ward cannot be blamed for trying new things, it is rather strange that they opted to remove such a pivotal gameplay mode in order to do so. It is unclear at the moment whether or not the reintroduction of BR Trios will meanScopes and Scattergunswill be pulled or if both game modes will simply coexist simultaneously. Either way, it is nice to see Infinity Ward listening to its players.

That said, the comment section of this tweet feature mixed response. Although the general reaction to the return of BR Trios is a positive one, there are many that feel this isn’t enough. There is widespread outcry for the introduction of a Duos mode toCall of Duty: Warzone, although a recentleak confirms Duos will be coming soon. Furthermore, many fans are requesting Shoot the Ship return as well, with one commenter going so far as to say that if Infinity Ward was actually listening to fans then Shoot the Ship would be permanent already.

For those that were upset about theremoval of BR Trios, the mode will be returning toCall of Duty: Warzonetonight, so there is not much time to wait. In the meantime, however, it may be worth trying out the Scopes and Scatterguns playlist or going toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare’s new Stir Crazy playlist.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
