That is why one fan has taken it upon themself to create an interesting video demonstrating the three best tactics when dealing with Riot Shields.

The video starts with one of the most popular solutions whendealing with an incoming Riot Shield. A player must simply throw a Thermite grenade into the shield and watch the sparks fly. On a direct hit, the Thermite will passively damage the player while a miss can result in area damage making it hard for them to maneuver.
The second trick is the jump and shoot technique. Players must jump to the side of the Riot Shield and fire into their side. If the shield user is not paying attention, has a slow reaction time, or is dealing with multiple enemies, players can use this strategy to easily bring them down.
The third trick is to take advantage of a Riot shield’s blindspots. When they have not crouched, a player with a Riot Shield can be downed easily be shooting them in the feet. When they sprint, their left side is left vulnerable to enemy fire. Take advantage of these spots when dealing with a difficult shield user.
The video’s creator provided a bonus tip by using a knownerror in the hitbox radiusof the Riot Shield itself. When firing at a shield user, their head may clip slightly above the shield making them vulnerable to LMG and large magazine weapons.
