Although the main story sounds intriguing enough, one of the main aspects of the game to be excited about inBlack Ops 6is the game’s multiplayer.
Since theCall of Dutyfranchise first began in 2003, the games have now become incredibly well-known and loved for multiplayer gameplay.Black Ops 6brings multiplayer to the forefront once again, but this time, the game is adding a larger variety of map choices to its multiplayer mode compared to its predecessor. Boasting 16 maps,Black Ops 6is righting the wrongs of 2020’sCold War, which only had eight maps at launch. Not only is the prospect of doubling the number of maps exciting, but this is also promising news for the game’s weapons roster.

Black Ops 6 Offering More Multiplayer Map Options Could Also Mean More Guns
Raising the Bar For Multiplayer Action
The upcoming maps forBlack Ops 6are a major example of how the game wants to redeem whereCold Warfell flat in some of these multiplayer aspects. Yes, 16 maps are exciting all on their own, but more maps could likely mean more firepower is also on the way.Black Ops 6is looking to improve the series, and adding more guns into the mix as well is quite possible.
Cold Waronly offering eight maps at launch may have left some players disappointed, but the game did boast a great arsenal. The weapons inCold Warwere diverse and felt really great in combat, for the most part, and it only makes sense forBlack Ops 6to expand upon these guns in the multiplayer mode. Since there is also a 10-year time jump to consider betweenCold WarandBlack Ops 6, there will be a decade of weapons innovation for the latter to revel in with its gun roster.
This leaves plenty of room forBlack Ops 6to feature some ofCold War’s best guns, like the Krig-6 and Tec-9, while also including an entirely new lineup of weapons that were widely used throughout the Gulf War.The expectations for the maps inBlack Ops 6are high, and this also goes for the game’s guns, especially in multiplayer. Furthermore, although the names of these 16 locations are unknown at the moment, it has at least been confirmed that the maps are brand new to the series. This means that there could also be some never-before-seen weapons enteringBlack Ops 6’s multiplayer as well.
Black Ops 6 Will Hopefully Reignite Love For Call of Duty
AlthoughCold Waritself was a greatBlack Opsinstallment, theCall of Dutyfranchise as a whole has had a tough few years following 2020’s aforementioned title. After disappointment inModern Warfare 3’s painfully short campaign and lackluster multiplayer,Black Ops 6is in the tough position of having to reignite excitement in the overall franchise. Despite the issue ofBlack Ops 6needing a constant internet connection, the game can hopefully bring theCall of Dutyfranchise out of its recent slump.
It’s clear thatBlack Ops 6is improving upon features that worked inCold Warand fixing things where the predecessor lacked, so that is at least a promising sign. Getting to experience 16 all-new maps is going to be one of the most exciting parts of playingBlack Ops 6for the first time, and there will hopefully be a thrilling lineup of weapons to bring the action to the next level.
