The list of craftable weapons inDestiny 2is set to grow a little bigger as Bungie confirms the Deep Stone Crypt’s arsenal of weapons will be among the next set of deepsight weapons in season 19. Bungie has spoken about its plans for weapon crafting in the past, which includes refreshing older weapons usingThe Witch Queen’s weapon crafting system. It began with the current season,Season of Plunder, adding the Dares of Eternity arsenal to the list of craftable weapons, and it is set continue into next season.

Deep Stone Crypt was the raid included as part ofDestiny 2’s 2020 expansion,Beyond Light. Picking up after Eramis' defeat in the main campaign, guardians are tasked with entering the mysterious Deep Stone Crypt to stop Eramis' remaining House Salvation loyalists from harnessing its power to use against the Last City. The raid also provides clarity into how BrayTech gave birth to the Exos, the powers Clovis Bray sought to harness, and the true reach of the Darkness' influence.

As for the raid’s arsenal of weapons, Bungie spoke in the latest This Week at Bungie post about its plans to add them to the craftable weapons list when season 19 kicks off on December 6. The studio said it wants to make running the raid “more enticing” for players when the next season begins, making it the third raid with craftable weapons alongside King’s Fall andVow of the Disciple. Deepsight weapons will be able to drop from each encounter and one can be purchased every week from the final chest, but Bungie added encounter drops will be uncapped on weeks when Deep Stone Crypt is the featured raid to make unlocking weapon frames a bit easier.

The perk pool for theDeep Stone Crypt’s weapons will also get a slight refresh according to senior lead designer Chris Proctor. He said a goal of the sandbox team was to find perks “that synergize well with the perks” from Deep Stone Crypt such as Reconstruction and Recombination. In addition, Deep Stone Crypt weapons will drop with the new origin trait Bray Inheritance, though no description of the trait was given as of this writing.

When weapon crafting was announced ahead ofThe Witch Queen’s release, Bungie teased its plans to refresh older weapons inside the new crafting system and left players speculating which older arsenals could undergo this refresh. Some players could argue endgame activities such as the raids and dungeons make the most sense as they tend to be among the harder PvE activities in the game and have featured some of the most desirable weapons and perk combinations inDestiny 2. Deep Stone Crypt getting this refresh in season 19 could, in turn, hint at the possible future awaiting The Last Wish and Garden of Salvation raids, though only time will tell in either raid’s case.

Destiny 2is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
