Summary
Kawaki is one of the main characters inBorutoPart 1 and Part 2. Introduced quite a bit into the first part of the series, Kawaki quickly established himself as one of the main characters and ended up becoming a fan favorite as well. He formed avery special relationship with not just Boruto Uzumakibut also with Naruto, his foster father.

Fans knew from the very beginning of the story that Kawaki would be exceptionally powerful. This was down to the fact that his part in destroying Konoha was made quite clear in the very prologue of the series. As his character was explored more following his introduction, it was quite clear that Kawaki was very strong and that he would grow up to be one of the strongest in the entire series. Now that the timeskip ofBorutois over, Kawaki has reached new levels of power that fans have never seen before.
Kawaki’s Strength Before The Timeskip
Beforethe 3-year timeskip ofBoruto, it was quite clear to the fans that Kawaki was going to be very important. Immediately after he was found by the Konoha Shinobi, Kawaki demonstrated his strength in his fight against the Kara Outers. Much to the surprise of the fans, his strength was absolutely incredible, greater than even the likes of Konohamaru at the time. Soon after, when he was brought to Konoha, it was made known to the fans that his body was a medical marvel. Although born a human, his body was worked upon by some genius scientists, which fans later found out was Amado.
Kawaki was also revealed to be a vessel for Isshiki Otsutsuki, just as Boruto was one for Momoshiki. In order to become a perfect vessel, he was trained extensively by Jigen, beaten and abused on a daily basis. That was absolutely horrific for him to live through, however, as dark as it was, it also turned him into a fighter who had to learn to fight, or perish. Being the fighter that he is, Kawaki did what he had to do to survive and ended up becoming very powerful.
While in Konoha, he was training under Naruto’s guidance and sparred with Boruto. His already great strength was boosted even further and he became a ninja, learning the powers of ninjutsu, among other things. Kawaki was certainly destined for greatness at this point and, after the timeskip, this level of strength has only gotten up.
Kawaki During The Timeskip
While Kawaki continued to grow in terms of power with his Karma seal, his character took a very interesting turn towards the end ofBorutoPart 1. After fighting against Code, Kawaki resolved to kill all the Otsutsuki in order to make the world a safer place forhis beloved 7th Hokage, Naruto.This also meant that he had to kill Boruto, his very own brother. To that end, He ended up sealing away Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata in the dimension of Daikokuten, and then went on to confront Boruto.

In his attempt to kill Boruto Uzumaki, he tried to escape but was surrounded. Thankfully for him, Ada came to his rescue and used the power of Omnipotence unknowingly to channel Kawaki’s inner wishes and bring them to life. This led to Boruto and Kawaki switching lives and, as such, Kawaki was hailed as the son of Naruto Uzumaki, while Boruto was branded as the traitor who was taken in by Naruto but repaid him with treachery by killing him.
This triggered the timeskip for Boruto and every single character trained to grow stronger in this time. Kawaki is certainly not any different and he trained extensively during this period as well. This was evident to the fans immediately after they saw him for the very first time after the timeskip. Kawaki’s powers appear to be on an entirely different level and he has matured completely, possibly hitting the same level as Isshiki.
Kawaki’s Strength After The Timeskip
While fans have not seen much of Kawaki inBorutoPart 2, he displayed enough in the first chapter to give the fans an idea of how powerful he is. Fans got toseehim use his incredible Otsutsuki power momentarily in the chapter and it was certainly a scary sight.
Kawaki was seen visiting Naruto and Hinata inside the dimension of Daikokuten and this is something that even Ishikki has not done before. This implies that Kawaki has fully mastered the dojutsu that he possesses and gained full control over the powers of Isshiki. If there was any doubt in that, fans also got to see all the eight triangles inside his eye, which would suggest that the eye has now fully matured. Before the timeskip, this eye only had five triangles, and now, it has all eight, showcasing that Kawaki is a complete Otsutsuki, in a way.
Given that he has grown quite a bit physically as well, his level of strength is higher than ever before and, at the same time, the power that he possesses is going to be much more refined as well. If he trained in the ways of ninjutsu, he would have reached an even higher level as a ninja and, given thathe had Mitsuki at his sidefor these three years, he could have picked up a lot from him as well. All things point to him being exceptionally powerful right now and most likely even among the strongest in the entire world ofBoruto.
Is Kawaki The Strongest At The Moment?
There are only a handful of characters that can be considered to be on the same level as Kawaki at the moment. One of them is certainly Boruto Uzumaki, who has spent the last 3 years with Sasuke and most certainly trained his powers to the next level. Other than him, there is Ada, who fans know is stronger than Jigen and possesses abilities that almost nobody can fight against. However, these powers do not work on Kawaki, meaning that he is capable of killing her. Daemon, on the other hand, is a different story altogether. Before the timeskip, he was much stronger than Kawaki and could easily overwhelm him in combat. The secret to his ability has still not been fully explained and that makes it quite hard for anyone to gauge what level of strength he possesses truly.
If Kawaki has improved his strength significantly, then he is most likely going to be even with Daemon in terms of power and potentially even be stronger than him. If that is the case, then Kawaki is going to be the strongest character that the fans know inBorutoat the moment, with the only one potentially stronger than him being Shibai Otsutsuki. However, fans don’t even know if he is ever going to play a role, or if he’s even going to be relevant from here onwards. At the moment,Kawaki certainly has a shout for being the strongestin the entire world, along with Daemon and Boruto Uzumaki.
