However, at some points, a situation calls for more than a simple bow, and that is where a shotgun comes in handy. Players won’t be able to craft their very own gun and, therefore, will need to rely on finding one in the wild by completing various RDA outposts.
These places will naturally start to give the player upgraded versions of the weaponry available, with shotguns being one of the best. The only issue with it is how loud it can be to use, and the player needs to be up close to do any real damage.
6Assault Rifle

Players earn their assault rifle even sooner than they get their hands on a shotgun, with the game introducing players to gun combat early into the title as they fight off waves of RDA forces.
This is another weapon that cannot be crafted but is instead found through completing various RDA outposts and facilities, which gradually increase in difficulty as the player progresses through the story and explores the map of Pandora.

What makes this longbow such a great choice early on is the addition of allowing players tocreate and use fire arrowswhen they have the bow equipped. While these arrows may require the player to use more resources to create them, the additional burning damage can work wonders when dealing with deadly RDA mechs.
4Eetu’s Heavy Bow

Players are introduced to the joy and sheer power of heavy bows when they first make it to the Hometree during the main story of theAvatargame for the first time. They are tasked with finding the Na’vi Hunter Eetu, who teaches the player about hunting and using a heavy bow. This is where he gives them this bow, which does more than pack a punch.
Alongside the bow he gives the player, he also hands them the design that allows them to make their own improved version of it. Both versions allow players to craft poisonous arrows, which will gradually damage an enemy over time if they are hit by its poisonous tip.

These are explosive arrows. While not great when trying to be stealthy, these explosive arrows are great for dealing with groups of enemies that are bundled together or those who wish to quickly dispatch a mech with just a few hits.

Out of all the available weaponry to players at the start ofAvatar: Frontiers of Pandora, one of the greatest weapons players should be working toward at the beginning of the game is Kitangi’s Heavy Bow. Players will find the design for this Heavy Bow when theytalk to Kitangi.
Heavy Bows are already incredibly lethal, making them perfect for hunting animals or dealing with harder enemies. This Bow also comes with piercing arrows that the player can craft with a few extra resources than just sticks. These deal even more damage than the regular arrow, allowing players to plunge through enemy defenses with ease.
