9King Cold
King Cold is a character who doesn’t really stick around for that long after being introduced.He comes with Frieza to Earthto wipe out the planet and hunt down the man who left him to die.
King Cold was a nice enough parent to hunt Frieza down and stitch his body up, although many people may argue that this is the bare minimum a father should do. He had no problems forgetting Frieza’s demise and trying to look out for himself, which was punished by Trunks' ruthlessness.
8King Vegeta
King Vegeta is another character that many fans didn’t really get to see in detail. Watching himgrovel at the feet of characters like Beerusand Frieza certainly made him look weaker than he really was.
Given the kind of man Vegeta was before his heart softened on Earth, it’s safe to say that his father wasn’t exactly the best role model. The only good thing he possibly did was send Vegeta on a mission that saved him from a grim fate had he been on his home planet when it was destroyed by Frieza.
7Bardock & Gine
Bardock is the legendary figure who stood up to Frieza and tried to prevent the tyrant from destroying his world, although this effort was all for naught. He didn’t really seem like a stand-up father since he criticized his son for being a weakling, but his opinion changed after his visions allowed him to see that Goku would stand up to and beat Frieza later on.

Gine is Goku’s mother, and she wasn’t really revealed until recently in the main timeline. She definitely loved her son, and it’s a shame that Goku never got spoiled by his mother after being sent to Earth permanently.
6Vegeta & Bulma
No one could even think that Vegeta would settle down with an Earthling, let alone give birth to a child. However, this was precisely what happened sincehe ended up tying the knot with Bulmaafter appreciating her bossy attitude.
They’ve grown up to be surprisingly great parents, even if Vegeta did end up facing a dangerous midlife crisis that caused him to sell his soul in search of more power. However, this decision allowed him to appreciate his bond with his wife and son, and he ends up being a great parent in Super as well.
5Goku & Chi-Chi (But Mainly Chi-Chi)
Most people tend to make a ton of fun at Goku’s expense for being a parent who either forced his children into dangerous situations or simply wasn’t a part of their lives for extended periods of time. However, there’s no denying that he helped his family out whenever they were stuck in a tight spot and guided both Gohan and Goten during critical parts of their lives.
Chi-Chi is a superstar mother who took care of her children while their father was mainly an absent figure. However, she does have a tendency to be a bit too strict for her own good, even if her heart is in the right place.
4Krillin & Android 18
Krillin is a character who was pretty strong inDragon Ballbefore his strength slowly declined over the course of the series. However, that doesn’t mean thathe didn’t play an important role in the series, with his actions during the Cell Saga leading to him wooing and eventually marrying Android 18.
They have a child named Marron who is simply adorable despite being a bit too naughty at times. However, it’s clear that both parents are doing a stellar job of raising this child, having stable jobs, and catering to Marron’s needs at every step of the way.
3Mr. Satan
Mr. Satan seems like nothing more than a glory hunter who lies about all of his achievements. However, despite how goofy this character may seem,his heart of gold has protected the Earth in its own way.

The love he has for his daughter is clear as day, with Videl being pretty fond of Hercule as well. Given how strong and reliable Pan is, it’s clear that Mr. Satan has done a great job of raising her.
2Piccolo
During Goku’s absence, it was Piccolo who stepped up and helped Gohan train to become one of Earth’s strongest warriors. Despite initially being wary and closed off, it was Gohan’s tender heart that changed Piccolo, leading to him developing a special fatherly bond with Gohan.
While this is generally used as a joke statement, many fans would agree that Piccolo has done a better job of raising Gohan than Goku himself!He also trained Goten and Trunks to fuse and become a strong warrior, which adds further credibility to his image as a father figure.
1Gohan & Videl
Gohan is a kind-hearted character who never really wanted to feel the thirst of battle, even if his potential was immense. After the events ofDragon Ball Z,he settled down with Videl to form a family of his own, taking on a more intellectual role in the process.
