Summary
One of the best things aboutCrusader Kings 3is how it was designed with mods in mind, allowing dedicated members of the community to bringamazing new experiencesto the player base. Players on Steam will also find mods incredibly easy to install, as it just takes a single click of the button on the Steam Workshop, which presents all ofCK3’sbest mods.
For players who are crazy about the Middle Agesand want more flavor, immersion, and historical accuracy, there is thankfully a huge subsection of mods that aim to do exactly that. While some of these historical mods forCrusader Kings 3change aspects of the gameplay to better reflect the real medieval world, others focus on aesthetics and smaller details. Impressively, many of these mods are compatible together, although some require small compatibility patches.

1Community Flavor Pack
Adds Hundreds Of Historically Accurate Models & Aesthetics
TheCommunity Flavor Packis arguably the best mod forCrusader Kings 3and many players can’t imagine playing without it. Without affecting gameplay, this flavor mod adds over 200 original and historically accurate models, fromcrowns, cloaks, and other garmentsto fully-fledged throne rooms and medieval artifacts.
Attention has been paid not only to all regions, cultures, and faiths on the map but also to specific periods within the Middle Ages. As players progress from 867 or 1066 to 1453, they will notice sweeping changes in fashion, all seamlessly incorporated. The work of El Tyranos is of such a quality that he was invited by Paradox to create a smallDLC pack forCK3,North African Attire.

2VIET Events - A Flavor And Immersion Events Mod
A Simple Events Mod Full Of Historical Details
For players who want more flavor and immersion in theirCK3games, look no further thanVIET Events, with VIET standing for Very Immersive Events and Tales. To fill in the gaps between waging wars and hosting lavish feasts, players will have handcrafted events pop up, normally relating to the region they are playing in.
Each event is inspired by the realities of the Middle Ages, and there is even a Historical Context tooltip. This allows players tolearn about history while playingCrusader Kings 3. As this mod doesn’t change too much in the way of gameplay, it is compatible with basically every other mod and can even be used on existing saves.

3Regional Immersion And Cultural Enrichment (RICE)
Adds Over 30 Flavor Packs To Specific Regions, Cultures, And Religions
For a more in-depth look at the medieval world and just how diverse even small regions could be, theRegional Immersion and Cultural Enrichmentmod, also known asRICE, is an absolute must-play. This mod introduces individual flavor packs for specific regions, cultures, and religions, especially for those that are less present in the popular imagination.
Each flavor pack adds a wide variety of content from events and decisions to new music and even activities, and players can look forward to more packs in the future. All aspects are thoroughly researched and grounded in historical accuracy, allowing players to learn more about the region they are playing in.

4More Bookmarks+
Adds Over 20 New Start Dates & So Much More
One of the few problems withCrusader Kings 3is that there are only two start dates currently; 867 and 1066. Other than the obvious limitations on opportunities, this is a particular pain for players who want to experience the later medieval eras without having to get through hundreds of years of gameplay first.
TheMore Bookmarks+mod completely fixes this problem by adding over 20 new start dates to the game, with many options from the 8th century to the 14th century. This allows users toplay as iconic historical figuressuch as Richard the Lionheart, Frederick Barbarossa, or any number of medieval rulers. On top of new bookmarks, the mod also adds hundreds of baronies, coats of arms, cultures, religions, and much more. In some ways, More Bookmarks+ is a total conversion mod, just for the rest of the Middle Ages.

5ObfusCKate - Hidden Information
Hides Information About Strangers & Obscures The Chances Of Success
ObfusCKate - Hidden Informationis one of the bestCK3mods for immersion as it hides information that the player’s character shouldn’t know about. For example, they wouldn’t know about the personality, skills, sexuality, and much more of a neighboring ruler unless they had met, and even then a lot of this information would be unknown.
With this mod installed, characters will have to meet and interact to learn more about one another, making feasts and other activities even more interesting. Players can even send envoys or spies to learn more about specifics such as the size of a neighboring ruler’s army. Other information is also hidden, such as the chances of success when making decisions. In other words, instead of saying there is a 50% chance of the character dying, it will say they “might” die. All of this makes forbetter roleplay inCK3, as players must make choices based on what makes sense for their character in the moment.
