Ubisoft releasedAssassin’s Creed Valhallaover a year ago and continues to add content to the game in various forms. The annual Yule Festival seasonal event has returned from last year, and it brings with it new Holiday-themed goodies for players to collect.

Like last year’s Yule Festival,Assassin’s Creed Valhallafans can complete activities to receive Yule Tokens to spend on cosmetics, armor, and weapons. Just like other events such as the Ostara Festival and Oskoreia Festival, most of the cosmetic options during the Yule Festival are settlement decorations and tattoos. Another similarity the Yule Festival shares with previousAssassin’s Creed Valhallaevents is its celebration of real-world Holidays while tailoring it to the time period the game reflects.

The Yule Festival Seasonal Quests will introduceAssassin’s Creedplayers to the updated Ravensthorpe, which has been altered to celebrate the event. Because the event is free for all fans, this is an easy way for players of all types to unlock new cosmetics and gear. Upon finishing theValhallaYule FestivalQuests, Eivor can take on three competitions: Yule Brawling, Archery, and a festive drinking contest to purchase these items.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Yule Festival runs from now until January 6, and beyond bringing new content and activities to Ravensthorpe, the area has also been blanketed by snow.Valhallafans will also notice snow stick to Eivor to the point that their breath is visible in the frigid air, and male Eivor’s facial hair freezes over as time passes. Players who appreciate the snowy changes to Eivor’s hair can even unlock snowy hair through the Yule Festival to make it a permanent look for the Viking protagonist, similar to Spring aesthetics offered duringAssassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Ostara Festival.

TheAssassin’s CreedTwitter account has already confirmed that some players are encountering a bug that doesn’t activate the seasonal event upon enteringAssassin’s Creed Valhalla’sRavensthorpe. It’s currently unclear how manyAssassin’s Creedfans have been affected by this bug. Still, Ubisoft is working to fix the issue so that everyone can celebrate the Holidays in their settlement.

Ubisoft recently added crossover stories toAssassin’s Creed OdysseyandValhalla, whichbrought new quests to both games.Odysseyplayers have since learned about Eivor and the Vikings, whileValhallafans have learned about Kassandra and the Spartans. This crossover not only blended the worlds of bothAssassin’s Creedgames, but it may also be an introduction to a new game for players who hadn’t tried the most recent title in the series or its predecessor.

Assassin’s Creed Valhallais available for Google Stadia, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
