It’s been almost two years since the launch ofAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Ubisoft has shown no signs of slowing down support.Assassin’s Creed Valhallais set to receive a massive title update that will bring anew free game mode called The Forgotten Sagaand numerous amount of bug fixes to increase player satisfaction set to arrive later this week.With Ubisoft putting a huge focus on theAssassin’s Creedfranchise as a part of its future plans, it’s been no surprise to see the amount of contentAssassin’s Creed Valhallahas received. Numerous story expansions have dived deep into the Viking mythology the game is inspired by, and an unlikely crossover took place when the main protagonist fromAssassin’s Creed Odysseyfound their place inValhalla’s timeline. Content is flowing into the game, and this update will be no different as The Forgotten Saga highlights update 1.60 when it arrives August 2.RELATED:Fired Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Creative Director Now Working at TencentThe Forgotten Saga is a roguelike modethat throws players into the Niflheim as Odin who will face off against the forces of Hel. Players will not have access to any of their gear discovered in the base game and must survive with what they discover through their runs of the new mode. Typical of games that feature similar elements, this new mode will require a ton of patience and experimentation as there will be plenty of side quests that require multiple runs in order to complete. This mode is free for all players with update 1.60 and will be accessible only after reaching Asgard in the base game.
Alongside the introduction of the new mode,the Sigrblot Festival returns to the gameas well. From August 4-25 players can participate in said festival, exchange opals for exclusive festival rewards and most likely expect to partake in a few challenges and activities. There will also be numerous bug fixes across the base game and expansions. The patch size will vary depending on platform with Xbox Series X/S users receiving a 26 GB update, Xbox One users receiving a 19.6 GB update, PlayStation 5 users receiving a 12.5 GB update, PlayStation 4 users receiving a 17.5 GB update, and PC users receiving a 23.7 GB update.
The overall update is a hefty one, and the introduction of a new free game mode is a welcome sight. While Ubisoft gears up for the future of the series with aUbisoft Forward set for September, be sure to hop in and experience the abundance of content Valhalla is receiving right now.
