Though it typically suffers from latency and connectivity issues,Elden Ring’s player-versus-player gameplay is beloved by much of the FromSoftware community. Like past titles,Elden Ring’s PVP is a way for the community to interact with one another as well as test their fighting skills out against one player or several at once.
Along with being a community hub and a skill test,Elden RingPVP is a recipe for funny moments. Scenarios like anElden Ringplayer falling to their death during an ambushare commonplace, occurring frequently in the game. Furthermore, many players capture their gameplay footage so that they can post it later, meaning many of these fails and funny moments are available for other players to see.

This is doubly true for popular streamers who play the game, as their clips gain much more exposure than those posted by random players. Much like streamer successes and fails likeTheDanDangler getting banned againspreading across the internet like wildfire, so too do clips of streamers performing well in games or experiencing random moments. Recently, one of Twitch’s most popular streamers took to Twitter to out themselves, posting a video that can only be described as demoralizing.
Twitch streamer Asmongold was the one who posted the video as well as the one on the receiving end of a string of bad luck. Finding himself with just a sliver of health and no FP, Asmongold was circling a full-health invader. Flustered due to his predicament, Asmongold decided the only way he was going to survive was if he managed to cast some spells. To this end, he stopped to drink a Flask of Cerulean Tears; however, as soon as he did so, a hostile goat ran in from off-screen likeElden Ring’s Starscourge Radahnhurtling down from the heavens, headbutting Asmongold to his death.
While certainly an extremely anticlimactic moment, it was also absolutely hilarious, as were responses to the tweet. One user joked they didn’t know there was a ram boss in the game, making light of Asmongold’s predicament. Another user turned the moment into a truck joke, asking why Asmongold hadn’t Dodge’d that Ram. Yet another user expressed solidarity, saying they would have surely punched their monitor after a demoralizing death like this one.
Jokes aside, it was only a matter of time before the rolling rams scored a kill on someone, and to everyone’s enjoyment, Asmongold was the one who died to make it happen. To be fair, Asmongold was playing an overpowered sorcery build; perhaps the goat would have shown more respect if he had gone pure strength and wornElden Ring’s bull goat armor setinstead.
