TheAnimal CrossingNintendo Direct presentation included the reveal of popular character Isabelle inNew Horizons, and explained what her role will be in the upcoming Switch exclusive.
Instead of working for the local city government like she did inAnimal Crossing: New Leafon the 3DS,Isabelleis now working for Nook, Inc. inNew Horizons. While her job title may be different inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, Isabelle’s functions remain largely unchanged. Players will still visit her for various concerns about how the island is running and with resident desires. She also has the same bubbly personality that she’s had since her introduction to the series.

WhileAnimal Crossing: New Horizonshas a lot of villagersand the franchise in general doesn’t really have a “main” character, Isabelle has been one of the standout stars. Isabelle’s popularity even saw her added to theSuper Smash Bros.roster, the secondAnimal Crossingcharacter to join alongside Villager.
Isabelle is just one of many characters that will be returning forAnimal Crossing: New Horizonson the Nintendo Switch. As always,Tom Nookwill be one of the central figures in the game, with players once again paying off a debt to him in order to build a house on their island.
It seems that a lot ofAnimal Crossing: New Horizonswill be familiar to longtime fans of the franchise. However, the game is also bringing a lot of new features and content to the table.
