This results in a plan to get everyone so drunk that they can barely see and only then take on the monsters. Fortunately, it manages to combine both genres in an organic way, so it’s hilarious at times and scary at others. Even though there have beenmultiple Frankenstein movie adaptationsover the years,Frankeenweenie, the main hero of this Tim Burton movie, is easily the cutest. Despite the fact that he died and was brought back to life by his owner, Victor, who just couldn’t leave his beloved dog dead, Frankeenweenie is one of the good guys… or, in this case, pets. It’s not the first time Tim Burton directed this story either, ashe already made a short live-action movie of the same name in 1982, thirty years before the animated version came out.

The 2012Frankeenweeniecontinues to work as it has both beautiful animation (for those who admire the style of Tim Burton’s movies), sympathetic heroes, and a touching story. After all, losing a pet is hard, so Victor’s actions make a lot of sense. While this movie isn’t as scary as other horror pieces, which makes it suitable for children as well, it does leave a strong impression and no fan of dog movies slash animated horrors should miss out on watching it.

Zombies are easily one of the most popular horror creatures. Movies often approach them seriously, but that’s not the case in this underrated British piece. The movie centers around two different age groups - young friends and a group of seniors from an elderly home - who join forces in the middle of a zombie apocalypse in London and decide to shoot, hack, or otherwise force their way to safety. That makes for a lot of fun and unexpected situations in which the heroes confront the zombies, regardless of their age.
There aren’t that many zombie comedies and even less that would give space to older heroes, which is another reason whyCockneys vs Zombiesis well worth watching.
